    More from Okubos move

    http://www.vflwolfsburg.de/50496+M52487247df2.html

    Magath:
"This transfer wasn't easy. Vissel tried everything to keep him, so i'm more happier now that he's here now."

    Okubo
"The technique and agrasiveness impressed me alot."
He had a meeting with Magath before
"I don't want to tell any details, but it was really important for me."

    Magath:
" We have enough time to do some experiments. He's a allrounder, so we've got a few positions for him."

Morimoto scored a goal just before half time... well, not exactly... just after the referee decided it was half time. The goal is invalided. (edit : didn't see your message before posting this Puckodum but I'm clearly not the only one wondering about this one).

For those interested, the game can be watched here, in 10 or 15 minutes from now for the second half :

Although it was a friendly it's good to see him scoring.

I crossed a german football board with current principal value of players.
They told me that Koki Mizuno got a current principal value of 500,000€ (ca. 60,000,000 Yen).
They try to explain that his J.League performances would be not involved and just his performances at Celtic and international caps would matter!
    what a kind of ****!

    Koki Mizuno
    500,000€.....what a joke!

    Re: Japanese Abroad 2008/09 [R]

Are you talking about transfermarkt? They have him at 500.000 euros too.
I mean its not perfect. Besides they haven't updated their valuations of players yet. I think they do it at the end of the season. That valuation was their valuation at the beginning of the season, which isn't that terrible in my eyes.

I suppose by the end of the season he will be bumped up to around 2.000.000 euro valuation, which would be right IMHO.

Well he's convinced more than Maurice Edu at Rangers ;) And he's rated at 2.000.000 euros.

    Re: Japanese Abroad 2008/09 [R]

How do they calculate the values? Is it based on season performances or potential?

This is nothing against Shunsuke Nakamura, but they rate him at 9,000,000 euros against Park Ji-Sung at 8,000,000 euros. I personally believe that Park is better at the moment.

They also have Shinji Kagawa rated at 1,900,000 which I disagree with, but this website is interesting!

    Re: Japanese Abroad 2008/09 [R]

The values are clearly those at beginning of the season.

Juventus' Marchisio is probably now worth 4 times the 2.5m given here after schooling Real Madrid and AC Milan's midfields.

Morimoto too is now worth at least 3-4m.

The value of a player has many factors, some not related to soccer skills at all, but in the end of course it boils down to supply and demand.

    Re: Japanese Abroad 2008/09 [R]

Transfermarkt is not perfect and is not updated like every month. I honestly think that its best used to research for the Bundesligas (I-II and III). Then the other major leagues (PL, La Liga, Ligue Un, Serie A). Then the lesser European leagues (like Portugal and Scotland), then everyone else.

That site is very good though with the compilation of transfer rumors of players, especially in the top 5 leagues. The forum users of the site do a good job of keeping tabs on what the papers say. So you will often hear something about "Player X zu Club X?" or "Club X beobachtet (is interested) Player X." etc. etc.

    It sure is :)
I see they got Cerezo's new midfielder Martinez valued at 1 800 000 Euro which is quite much for a J2-player I think. fun to read ;)

Didn't know Japan had a player in Europe before the creation of J-League.
Here's the highlights of the Champions Cup semi-final, FC Köln vs Nottingham Forest.
Yasuhiko Okudera scores for Köln at 4:55.
