Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] yesterday, Kikuchi's Jena won 1:2 against 1860 München. Jena reported that Kikuchi will comeback next week if everything's fine.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] He looked pretty good doing it, too. Hopefully he keeps his spot when the Rapids reshuffle upon the return of Petke and Ihemelu.

Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Koji Nakata played full game yesterday. http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/soccer/world/news/20080404-OHT1T00018.htm Basel are ready to offer a new contract to him but he will return to Kashima Antlers.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Bundesliga preview saturday: Eintracht Frankfurt - 1.FC Nürnberg VfL Wolfsburg - Hannover 96 sunday: FC Bayern München - VfL Bochum
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Thats been said before though, I won't believe Koji is coming back to Antlers until i see him in black and red.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] http://hochi.yomiuri.co.jp/soccer/world/news/20080405-OHT1T00001.htm He won't play tomorrow's game due to an injury.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Okey good. You get nervous these days when you here that Ono is injured.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Honda played full game. Nakamura played full game. Hasebe played 2nd half. Matsui played full game. Koji Nakata played full game. Basel won the Swiss cup.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Daisuke Matsui's contract expires at the end of this season, and he'll be a free agent. He can't play in England, while Italy and Spain are probably too harsh for his game, thus the only realistic options up are France and Germany. Another thing he could do is come back to Kyoto for a couple of seasons, to get a safe spot for WC 2010. He might end up staying in Le Mans, even when I can't see how it will help him to develop his career.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Hehe i understand you want him back in Kyoto but that will not happend. I mean i can't see it happend. I think Spain would be good for him. Or maybe stay in Le Mans, they've been good this season.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Spain... where? Will he be a starter...? And what about playing against Sergio Ramos (7 yellow cards this season) and the like...? He has promised he'll return to Kyoto, the point is when. I believe that if he gets a good offer (decent club/league and good chances to play) he should stay in Europe, but not sure about Le Mans. It did not do great to his international career. As today, Yanagisawa has more chances than Matsui to go to South Africa, I believe...
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] I'm don't think playing for le mans has had much affect on his international career , i think the main problem is that the coaches of the Japan NT just don't like him or don't think he fits into the team. He has been called up few times by each NT coach from Zico onwards, they have each called him up once or twice and then never called him up again, even Koji Nakata who plays for FC Basel has been called up more in the past 3 years than Matsui so i dont think moving to a more illustrious club will help him get onto the NT. This thread will explain better than i can: http://www.wldcup.com/cgi-local/board/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1201694895/0#0
