Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Am I wrong or (besides some sparks from Matsui), in general the Japanese in Europe are having quite an anonymous season, so far...?
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Matsui, Inamoto, Koji = Good Morimoto = OK Nakamura, Takahara = suffering from repeated injuries Oguro = Where? Alex, Miyamoto, Fukuda = Don't know Ito = Hype
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Nakamura and Takahara played in Asian Cup, so they could not rest during European league off-season. That really hurt them, especially both played many games in 2006-2007 season for their clubs.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] 2007-08 league stats (as of November 2) Morimoto (Catania, Italy) - 5 apps (2 starts, 3 subs) - 1 goal Oguro (Torino, Italy) - 0 apps Matsui (Le Mans, France) - 11 apps (11 starts) - 2 goals Ito (Grenoble, France) - 2 apps (2 subs) Takahara (Frankfurt, Germany) - 5 apps (2 starts, 3 subs) - 1 goal Inamoto (Frankfurt, Germany) - 9 apps (9 starts) Nakamura (Celtic, Scotland) - 8 apps (7 starts, 1 sub) - 3 goals Nakata (Basel, Switzerland) - 11 apps (11 starts) - 1 goal Alex (Salzburg, Austria) - 10 apps (10 starts) - 1 goal Miyamoto (Salzburg, Austria) - 7 apps (5 starts, 2 subs) Fukuda (Las Palmas, Spain) - ? apps - 1 goal
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Ina and Taka play vs. FC Bayern today I feel not so good when i thnk about it
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Transfermarkt.de reports that Miyamoto will re-sign for Redshite Salzburg until 2009, but Alex will be released in the winter.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Last week Morimoto - Subbed in 75' Takahara - Subbed out 80' Inamoto - Played entire game Miyamoto - Played entire game Alex - bench Oguro - bench Ito - bench Nakamura - Knee injury Matsui - back injury Nakata - injury
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Got the wrong player Am surprised a bit that Alex is not coming back because salzburg don't really have that great of a left side. maybe its because Alex is not good enough for the Austrian Bundesliga??????
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Well, I'm surprised because I rate the J-League more than the austrian Bundesliga.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] There's no reason that Alex can do well @ the team because Trapattoni continues to play him as left side back. He is an attacking player.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Yeh but I just don't think he is good enough at either position. He's not a great defender, and he is not fast enough anymore to provide a consistent offensive threat.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Add to the fact that he hasn't changed his game to compensate for his lack of pace these days. He still tries to take on players and beat them with speed too often these days, and he still makes the silliest passes sometimes.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] Lets get some japanese players to EPL. There's rumours about korean players transfering everyday. I would love having a japanese player in England again.
Re: Japanese Abroad 2007-2008 [R] a lot of Korean players are , congratz to them, but i think the Inamoto thing made japanese footballers wary.
