Am I wrong or (besides some sparks from Matsui), in general the Japanese in Europe are having quite an anonymous season, so far...? :(

Nakamura and Takahara played in Asian Cup, so they could not rest during European league off-season. That really hurt them, especially both played many games in 2006-2007 season for their clubs.

    Got the wrong player ;)

Am surprised a bit that Alex is not coming back because salzburg don't really have that great of a left side. maybe its because Alex is not good enough for the Austrian Bundesliga??????

Well, I'm surprised because I rate the J-League more than the austrian Bundesliga.

There's no reason that Alex can do well @ the team because Trapattoni continues to play him as left side back. He is an attacking player.

Yeh but I just don't think he is good enough at either position.
He's not a great defender, and he is not fast enough anymore to provide a consistent offensive threat.

Add to the fact that he hasn't changed his game to compensate for his lack of pace these days. He still tries to take on players and beat them with speed too often these days, and he still makes the silliest passes sometimes.

Lets get some japanese players to EPL. There's rumours about korean players transfering everyday. I would love having a japanese player in England again.

a lot of Korean players are , congratz to them, but i think the Inamoto thing made japanese footballers wary.
