Thats pessimistic from a japanese point of view. why do you think all this?

-doesnt japan have a good record against african teams?
-Greece qualified for WC from the EASIEST group with teams like LICHESTEIN and LATVIA in it !
-Greece have never got past the first round in a WC
-no comment on colombia. i think they have climate and home advantage. i also feel japan has bad record against south americans.

Yeh but he put his country of support as Japan.

Seems a lot of people who are not even Japanese but support japan because they like japanese culture and entertainment?

p.s please kindly also play the game and make your own prediction UnknownSolo89

Why being so annoyingly sarcastic? It's obvious we support Japan (with some frankly ridiculous exceptions) especially in a fascinating tournament like WC.

Then the question is: Blue-san why are you so pessimistic about Samurai Blue possibilities to qualify for the knock out stage? Maybe you are superstitious ;D

Sorry it was supposed to be a joke but it failed as it's indeed not used in english
but again, being a joke no, I don't think it brings any bad luck. I just don't do them usually

do you think Japan will lose 1-4 against colombia even without falcao?

falcao might not make the world cup. last i heard its 50:50, but anything coming from a paid proffesional (i.e doctor in this case), i would say is an exaggeration . I doubt he makes the world cup

It's Brazilian summer climate+Japanese defence's track record+Yoshida and Uchida out for a while combined.

I am wary that African nations usually fails meet the expectations when it comes to World Cup, so Japan might get past Ivory Coast.

You forgot that theres a lot of japanese in brazil. so their advantage is the 12th man (the crowd). Am also thinking brazillian spectators would root for japan given their performance at the confederations cup.

also uchida and yoshida i am 99% certain will be ready for the world cup.

ivory coast is probably more use to the climate (as its similiar to africa) which plays to their advantage.

but i think where ivory coast fail is:
-Goalkeeper (none are quality keepers, japan has a better keeper)
    -Defenders (same level as japan)
-Defensive midfielders (yaya toure, better than japan)
-Attacking midfielders (not better than japan)
-Forward (dorgba, bony, kalou, all better than japan)

Japan has an advantage in 3 departments: Goalkeeper, Attacking midfield.

On paper Ivory coast is the better team. But many times team spirit has guided teams to victory. Ivory coast will be a tough opposition, but they have a chance

I just worry about the defense mostly and the shape and form in which this team will hit the tournament.

Ivory coast has a good, fast and physical team, which I think is going to cause a lot of problems

3rd game depends on how well we did in the 1st two our coach said he wants to rest the starters against Japan so they are ready for the next round that is Italy or Uruguay.

Japan 1-1 Colombia or Colombia lose.

We have a good squad but I don't think our 2nd string can beat your best 11 especially if you guys need to win to get to the 2nd round.

More on Colombia we won't have Falcao till the 2nd round but the 3 other strikers we have have 20+ goals this season in Spain, Portugal and Germany.

Hope we meet again later in the tournie.

    WOW.

    THATS BREAKING NEWS TO ME.

I never tought of it like this, and never knew the manager said that. I guess because of this and because japan is the last game against colombia. they have better chance to get through, based on what you just said. the fact you mention could be vital if it comes to goal difference
