Why does Shenhua want him? They already have similar style striker like Zhang Yuning and Xie Hui. What they need is someone like Martinez who has the pace.
Zhang Yuning will never, ever, play again on a regular basis for Shenhua. I have no idea why they didn't just release him or fly him over to Japan. I guess they didn't want another CSL team to have his "talents". Xie Hui is either still injured or lacking fitness, but he doesn't have Jancker's body. Once they come back, Gao Lin and Mao Jianqing can provide the wily, skillful option. They won't have the blistering pace like Martinez, but they will be creative enough. Plus, Jancker is German--like Jorg Albertz.
He's the team's Belgian physio. He joined when Howard Wilkinson "joined" two years ago. He's been a fixture in the staff ever since. You should be able to see him during Shenhua matches. He saved Yu Tao's life during a match two year ago.
