Think Spurs need to put Llorente on for Sissoko and drop Kane into more of midfield role. Then just pound in the crosses.

Incredible how much balance is lost just by taking couple players out of the starting XI.

Spurs really need to find an understudy for Eriksen.

3 points needed, yet 1 point barely earned, even with decent dominance... that's not the stuff of a top 4 side. We should easily be top 4... but, days like today sows doubt, big time.

Not for the first time this season, Poch got his team selection wrong. With Eriksen down with the flu, either Llorente (remember him?) should have been playing up top with Harry, or Lamela should have come in to the side. But no, we got another serving of Sissoko - too bad he didn't catch the flu.

The guy is pure rubbish. Can he pass? Can he score? Can he control the ball? Can he defend? Would he be in the starting XI of any of the other top 6 sides? No, no, no, no, no, and to make matters worse, he switched off in the buildup to Saints goal.

But he wasn't the only one. Dele had yet another shocker. The number of times he tried to dribble through 2 or 3 defenders instead of playing in a teammate was maddening. We are still paying the price for not having brought in another attacking option in midfield. Whenever one of our top players goes down, we don't have the depth to replace them. Our chairman is spending too much time in photo-ops with the NFL brass instead of bolstering the squad.

You also have to question the mentality of the players. I look at Chelsea, they had a tough extra-time game in midweek and had 2 top players suspended and injuries. Yet with very little recovery time, the went to Brighton and shredded them 4-0. We had a week to prepare for this game in sunny Barcelona (maybe the lads had one too many sangrias) and were not ready to play and frankly we were lucky to get a point.

Right now we are right where we should be, 5th place. When someone like Sissoko is playing in your starting XI, you don't deserve to be in the top 4. The team has been crying out for a long time for another attacking mid, but the board has sat on its hands the last 3 transfer windows.

Just shows how tough the PL is, you can't take any game for granted.

Maybe the lesson is, don't take the team to Barcelona where they all get sick.

Interesting stat I saw yesterday. We have made 91 subs in all competions this season and have a grand total of 1 goal and 2 assists from them.
