Fans gave a standing applause to the guy. They clearly appreciate him.

Was predictable that he will be the first change...and surely they win now

    But Zidane Still doesn't.

Everybody note: James came out humbly. Shuck Zidane's out, asked him for advice.

We'll see how long this lasts..

I heard he was tired cuz he played really well and was running hard so the sub makes sense then. He didn't play a minute in preseason

Glad James started, think it wouldn't be smart to play him more then 60 mins without a preseason and it being his first minutes. Hopefully it lasts, but Modric being out is likely what opened up playing time, fingers crossed Zidane gives him a real chance if he stays.

Zidane is f ucking with James. Usually he makes the subs very late no matter how poorly they play. It was so predictable he took out James very early. Zidane wants him out of the team. When Hazard, Asensio and Modric are available, there is no freakin way James gets to play most of the time.

Yeah he always, always yanked James early and rarely started him. In this case I'm fine with the sub since James has had so many injuries in recent years and I don't want him to get injured in the first game, but I'm not holding my breath that it would still be the case if he was fully match fit.

I will give Zidane the benefit today because James didn't make a pre-season and his situation wasn't clear until the last few days but even then I don't understand why to sub him when he was one of the best in the team. He doesn't like James, it's cristal clear, now we only need to say how long it'll last. Like @Bomb8 said, when the injured/suspended players will return, it's unlikely for James to play.

Is James being careless or was this actually out of his control?

    There goes his transfer

But yea teams can get him free soon and he is injury prone no one is going to spend money on him

Some players are badly managed. James is just an idiot for forcing his way out of Bayern

smh....arguably the biggest star Colombia has ever had and already on what seems a neverending decline. At this point, I don't care if the guy ends up at some mid tier team as long as he can finish one season, just one, out of the clinic.

Well it's not like Quieroz even used James exactly as a 10. He might just stick with Cardona for now.

However, with Benedetti injured too, I wouldn't be surprised to see Jarlan. He's been in good form.

i've been thinking about Jarlan Barrera. I think it could definitely happen. All our playmakers are in the hospital.
