Porto better team but what the hell is the point of being the only team in your league when you can play the best teams in the world by going to Spain or Italy like he had the option of doing. Fine Porto plays champions league so they play 3 good teams a year if they get taken out on the 1st round + benfica........

Pipe & Daniel said it all. You don't choose where to play only according your opponents. Espanyol is a candidate for relegation almost every year. So they play Barca, Real, Atletico and Sevilla....so what? They don't have good players where James can find himself there. In Porto he has 2 more Colombians who will help him to adapt, plays in Europe and fight for the title.

Re: James Rodriguez - Oporto (r)

    Its just a paperwork issue:

I also agree and this is what I explained to Crzd. You don't choose a team according what league they play. If you play in La Liga but in a club which always fight to survive, you achieve nothing. Porto is a better club, bigger club who always plays in Europe and even though you rivals are Benfica, Sporting and Braga it's way better then a small team from Spain + he has Guarin and Falcao there to help him to fit in.

They are. Saturation of the coach tactics, injuries and 2 suspensions on key players (Hulk and Sapunaru) hurted them badly. Braga took this to claim 2nd place and then confirms the merit by kicking Celtic and Sevilla away from the Champions League.

However, FC Porto looks like a solid bet for this season, wether in the portuguese league or EL. The defense looks a little suspicious after Bruno Alves departure...but Nicolás Otamendi - the new signing - might change that.

haha euros are so dumb no offense

they think any Argie player is good.... did you not watch the WORLD CUP !!
THEY ARE AWFUL AT DEFENDING !!!

Argentina has 1 good defender and that's the Wall Samuel of Inter, all their other defenders suck. You shoot 4 shots at goal on Argentina and I am sure 2 will go in their defense is like butter, just no one has the balls to attack them because of their counter attacking

?...Otamendi was playing out of his natural position in the WC.
If you want to blame their poor defensive structure, then have a go at Maradona. The options available to Argentina are not that bad as you make it seem.

As for Otamendi pairing with Rolando, time will tell. FC Porto is known to excel players so I wouldn't be too worried about it.
