They had tweeted about his likely eligibility, but without any real content to be found, it didn't make sense to do a post. But... he's out there now.

The Bayern Munich U15 squad (players born in 2001) were in Los Angeles last week as part of the Generation adidas ESP Event. Among a squad of promising youngster was a forward by the name of Jalen Hawkins.

The talented winger has U.S. Citizenship, a source told TopDrawerSoccer. Hawkins played right wing against the Central MLS all-star youth team in the first half of Tuesday’s game. He came back on in the closing minutes as a center forward.

This is Hawkins’ first season with Bayern. He is one of four new recruits on the team for this season. Previously, he played for SSV Jahn and FC Inglostadt. Last year, he was a top performer from Inglostadt and earned an invite to a regional training event run by the German Federation for players born in 2001.

To update, he has missed the whole season. Bayern fans are hoping he returns next season where he would likely start the season with the U-17's.

Seems to be confirmation he's recovered from his injury. He hadn't played prior to this match since the October injury.

He's come on as a sub in Bayern U17's first two matches - as have Malik Tillman and Justin Butler.

Hawkins made two sub appearances, then has started the subsequent two games, all at right wing in a 4-2-3-1.

Like with Justin Butler at forward, he has a clear nemesis with whom he has been trading time at his position: Marvin Cuni

Gets his first USYNT callup, to the U18s, along with fellow Bayern forward Justin Butler. Well done by the USSF.

Jalen gave Bayern Munich U17 a 0 - 1 lead 8 minutes in to the game, but RB Salzburg came back strong winning 3 - 1

    Scored 3 in a 14-0 U17 win:

A clear victory could record the U17 of Bayern in their last test match of the winter preparation. One week before the start of the second half of the season in the B-junior Bundesliga South / Southwest Munich defeated the offspring of Legia Warsaw on Saturday with 14: 0 (7: 0).

At home campus, Jahn Herrmann (2), Joshua Zirkzee (2), Benedict Hollerbach, Jalen Hawkins and Angelo Stiller shot out a very clear 7: 0 break in the first game. After the break Hawkins (2), Marvin Cuni (2), Jonas Kehl, Hollerbach and Herrmann screwed up the result still further.

came on the 76th minute in what ended up to be a 2-2 draw. Didn't score or assist.

I think his chances were always the lowest from the 4 German Americans there. Maybe he's better of realizing it now instead of later. Now is the time for young players to develop and get constant playing time. He scored 2 goals this season and both were against the same opponent in a 5-0 trashing win, including a tap in. Outside of that, not much else and majority of his games he's starts on the bench.

scored today as Bayern won 12-1 vs Augsburg U17....

    ends the regular season with
3 goals in 24 games (2 games unused bench option) and 596 minutes played. Doesn't seem to have any assists and is a sub player at the club.

he only scored in 2 games all season and both were during thrashings. A double in a 5-0 win and 1 goal in a 12-1 win.

Bayern U17 as Sud/Sudwest winners advance to the SF round of the Championship where they will face RB U17.
