UNF will suit the team just fine for its inaugural season. I'd like to see the SSS be built in a logistically-sound location. Downtown is the first place that comes to mind, as it is centrally located and in major need of revitalization.
I'm actually in Charleston right now (Well North Charleston), covering the Dixie League World Series. I'm in a rain delay right now but so long as we get these games in tonight and they are not delayed until the morning, I plan to go check out Blackbaud. I'll try to get some pics.
if you can get out there during the day, they might be able to give you a tour of the pub. just go to the front office and tell them your a big fan and heard about he stadium and only in town for a couple days and that you would like to look around. Also not sure where you are playing but if you run into a Scottish lady named Helen (she works for North Charleston Rec.) she is a big Battery fan.
Completely unrelated, why do Baltimore and St. Louis have city-specific NASL expansion forums and Jax (why h has been awarded a franchise) doesn't? Very odd.
I think you need to post in the "request forum" area. I thought they already had a thread going though.
Baltimore & St. Louis both had teams affiliated with the NASL in their season under the USSF D2 league. They were rumored to be coming back. Now - not much happens on either forum because nothing has happened in a long time.
Ah. Thanks for posting to the link. I hope the powers that be can find it in their hearts to give Jacksonville it's own forum soon.
It's in the works . . . they are just having some technical difficulties, but I've been assured we will have our own sub-forum in the NASL thread soon.
Just to be clear guys . . . We are up and running. Here's the link! https://www.bigsoccer.com/community/forums/jacksonville.1588/
SoccerPrime DarkKnight . . . Maybe This thread could be moved over to the NASL Jacksonville Subforum? I don'tknow, I just saw that another Jax based thread had been moved there today.
When I looked at your avatar the other day, I thought I saw something about Temple (Owls) Soccer on there, and then later when i looked I couldn't imagine what made me think that. It just occurred to me that the hollowed out part of the U for the US Soccer badge resembles a T . . . Although I'm honestly not sure why it is I'm sharing this observation lol
