Before kickoff the club honored the team that was my introduction to FC Barcelona: The 1979 Cup Winners' Cup champions!
May 16 marks the 40th anniversary of their 4-3 vitcory over Fortuna Duesseldorf in Basel.
Rexach, De la Cruz, Zuviría, Tente Sánchez, Pere Valentí Mora, Esteban, Carrasco, Asensi, Migueli, Quique Costas, Isidre Tarrés, Manolo Martínez, Albadalejo, Paco Martínez, Félix Pomares, Papitu Ramos and staff member Angel Mur all appeared for the occasion.
(No goalkeeper Artola, Neeskens or Krankl :()
Largely forgotten now but that victory was a major achievement for the club at the time as it marked their first ever victory in a UEFA tournament (not counting the Fairs' Cup) following the heartbreak final defeats of 1961 and 1969.

Yeah absolutely. Valverde wanted to give the 11 a chance to rectify themselves but have shown more disgrace playing like shit, especially Busi.

Could be worse, could be losing 3 x 1 ... that'd be disgraceful. :sneaky:

Again Semedo in for Malcom and Craperto gets to remain, why? Just why? I hope Getafe scores. I can't take this idiot coach.

Messi scores. 2-0. Barely reacts. He's hurt from our CL crumble.

But you cared about him and Coutinho starting. So I assume you find this game important.

Yes and no. I would rather have seen the kids play. Abel was good coming in but honestly it was an absolute bore.

I wish it was August with fresh start.
