Thats a very obvious name, but at least it gets in line with the rest.

So we are now down to Gifu! abandon that flower you call a mascot and create a true mascot..... you are alone in the world after, Oita, Kofu, FC Tokyo, Yamagata, Tokushima, Yokohama FC and now Tochigi, do as all the others!!! :p

    GAINAX!

I must go to a Tottori match to buy one of any merch they put out. Which is probably what they had in mind.

It needs to be made into a Nendroid figure. I think it'll look better once more drawings come out.

Bet five dollars it's going to be either Gainare-kun or Gaina-kun.
Which would be an enormous shame for such a badass mascot.

The funny thing is, that this mascot has fluctuated on their boards since December and many fans has discussed how difficult this will be to make to a kigurumi that can walk around in the stadium. It might be a unique and cool mascot, but those wings........ on other hands there has always been among cosplayers to rival each others on big wings :p

But nice to see that my old buddies at Gainax are doing something going against the usual stream again.

Not sure if it happens in EVERY game, but having Ippei-kun carted off in a stretcher does indeed seem to be a common theme in Ehime. I think its the Shikoku equivalent to "Oh no! We killed Kenny!"

That you know enough of South Park to quote this and yet completely messed the quote up (unless they've changed it in recent years - in fact I'm not entirely sure he even dies anymore) is so very disappointing.

Its a bit fun because killing Ippei kun could be interpreted as a hidden Sanuki support. Ippei kun is Ramen right? you get the point? :p

Sonny-boy, at my age it takes a lot more than that to make me feel old.
    :p
When Mickey Dolenz eulogizes Davy Jones by saying "People who loved the show back then are still watching the reruns with their grandchildren. It wasnt trying to be a serious drama or musical. It was just a lot of fun"

    . . . I scratch my head and say . . . "grandchildren"? ? ? ?

You ever come across a conversation half way through and wonder what it is about? Anyway, does one of the teams still have a Killer Whale/Orca mascot? It is one of the things that I remember about the J-League Mega Drive game below. I could make a cheap gag about that mascot, but I'll behave myself.

And I hope your mascots are better behaved than these:

Owl+Former British Chancellor of the Exchequer Dennis Healey (below)=that mascot

That's the one SamuraiBlue. I half supported them back then because of Gary Linekar, who turned out to be a waste of Yen. I've always had a soft spot for Japan and the J-League since the 1998 world cup, and I would like to go to a game. It seems so colourful and pretty good natured.
