    News coverage from several (Spanish) sites has him as an American with Colombian roots -- apparently Houston-born, Colombian father, Panamanian mother.

    TM says he left Alajuelense in January. He made four appearances for the club.

    If he's good enough to make first-team appearances for Alajuelense (is that what they were?) then I figure he's good enough to land somewhere else...

    Looks like he recently signed with Barranquilla FC. I'm actually watching the match film right now of Luquetta's debut from August 1st when he scored at league leaders Cucuta. I had no idea he was a Yank and just happened to be watching since I like Cucuta.

    Anyway, Transfermarkt has him as a RB but BFC is using him as a 9. He currently has 2 goals in 3 appearances for them.

    Looking at local news reports, I'm not seeing that it's a loan. They all say he's signed through the end of 2020.

    23 year old winger in la Primera? Might be worth keeping an eye on.

    This is a nine time league champion he is joining. He will be team mates with guys like former South American POY Teófilo Gutierrez.

    By the way, there is another dual nat on the team. 28 year old winger Roger Torres who used to play for Philadelphia.

    That’s what I am seeing as well. It’s actually sort of a promotion since Barranquilla FC is a filial of Junior de Barranquilla.

    Transfermarkt has him as a dual cit. Beyond that, I couldn’t say.

    Hmm, I see. Well, I'm pretty sure TM is wrong — Torres grew up in Colombia, lived in Philly for four years, then moved back. I don't see how that timeline could result in US citizenship.

    He occupied an international slot with Philly in 2010, so at most he might have a Green Card:
