Re: Jaime Ivan Kaviedes Rumors and News

The reality of the situation is that Ecuador has no player as a forward to score goals or at least to cause havoc on any defense. Palacios a failure. Benitez cannot score. Caicedo cannot move or score. Mamita Calderón is still in process. M.J. Quiñonez still needs to improve. Bieler is still an Argentinian. So at this moment, Ecuador has no forward that could cause any harm to any team. Remember Roger Miller from Cameroon. Jairzinho played until he was 40+. Capurro played until his late 30's. Kaviedes is only 31 or 32. He is not old. With a couple of months of serious profesional training, I believe that he could get back into shape. In a picture in El Universo, he seems to be alright for me. Let a team give him a chance and if he fails, then that would be the end of it all but if he shows some kind of improvement, that could benefit everybody. Especially, himself that is trying to do some good in his life. Once again, he deserves a chance and if is in Barcelona, why not?

Because Barcelona is not a charity rehab opportunity center. It is a football club. It is a football club that has great history yet hasn't won a title in over 10 years. Barcelona is a club in trouble and in my opinion, Kaviedes is not the solution.

That is not what Barcelona needs right now. I have no issue with him going to another club. I rather he leave them high and dry again after 2-3 months like he normally does. He can do this with the likes of Macara, Olmedo, Auca or even Emelec rather than with my team.

And what makes you think he deserves yet another chance? Why? What has he done to earn that chance, which would not be his second, by the way, nor his third nor his fourth...more like fifth chance. So why give it to him, AGAIN? So he can blow it again?

Look, I have no problem with hom wanting to play ball again. Thats really super for him, but the NT needs to move forard, not backwards.

The examples you mentioned like Roger Milla, he was a pro player that played continiously without these 2 year breaks. He also didn't just leave his club for days on end without them knowing where he was.

It is not just the physical issue with Kaviedes having been away from the game for so long, but the fact that he is as undiciplined as it gets and he does whatever the hell he wants or he takes off and leaves his clubs hanging with their dicks pissing in the wind.

    No thanks!

Re: Jaime Ivan Kaviedes Rumors and News

Not old??? For another person of his age who did not OD on drugs and alcohol, 31 and 32 is not old, but when you take into account his lifestyle-heavy drinking, drug addict, not taking proper care of your body, all those late nights partying and drinking and the women, all that takes a toll on your body. So when you take that into account, Kaviedes is more like 35 or 36. All those guys you mentioned were men who took their profession seriously. And plus, they are the exception not the rule.

And why are some people eager to give him a shot at this stage, he hasn't played competitive soccer in about to years, after this past WCQ Ecuador need to reboot. That means bye Hurtado, Bye Sombra, Ayovi, Reasco, Cevallos, maybe even Elizaga, and definitely peace out Kaviedes. I would rather take my chances on a young kid like Marcos Caicedo, Joao Rojas, and even Victor Estupinan, who I think if given more playing time he can be a productive player.

Kaviedes is still the king lol, he can slap any of our forwards, not one of them have half the skill he has. Go to his website or on youtube see all the comments people make about him. I even seem some italian talking about him, saying he was the best player ever... I still believe in him

He's the king of crack, and instead of slapping our fowards, he'll burn them with his crack pipe. Not one of them have half the intake capacity that he has.

Kaviedes is a bum...has been and forever will be.

Wasn't the 250K part of his contract which is up December 31, 2009?
This would mean he is free for next year.

Will he play for the first game that Macará has to play? I believe that he just got operated and already started training.
