In fairness one of the problems is the sizing of women's unis. They are made for women about 5'5: tall - If you're shorter or taller the stuff just doesn't work very well. My daughter's high school uniform was so short on her 5'9" frame that she had to wear a shirt underneath or her belly button would be showing all the time. It was a size extra large large (she would normally wear a small or medium shirt). Shorts on the smaller girls were incredibly baggie and rolling helped. I suppose there are similar problems with men's unis but no one starts a thread about it.
Haha...you people are finally catching up to the greatness of my insights My old thread lives on!!! There are bound to be some strange fashion choices this season too...and I will be there to RAISE AWARENESS!!!
Bold attempt, but misses the form. In english, it should be a 5-7-5 syllable form, with reference to a season. month, or change (weather?), incorporate a stop in thought (often with punctuation), and perhaps try and contrast permanence and transient events. 17 straight syllables will do. so, to take your start: might be truer to form. You could try a 3-5-3 or even a 2-3-2 form, but that is a lot harder. I'm conflicted as to whether a smiley is a syllable or punctuation. Good try, though.
It is time, I believe, to stop the "madness" of this thread. Punctuation has never been my strong suit. I am well versed, in the matters of public speaking. Unfortunately for me, I speak and write in American English. A less perfect version of the the Queens English.
Pretty soon, American English will evolve into something paralleling Afrikaans and it's identity in this world.
Actually it is waistband rolling. Right it got to stop. The style is just ugly looking. Many of the players on the USA U-20 team wore their shorts that way in Germany last month. To me it just give off the vibe that the US Soccer cannot supply shorts that ladies can wear in a proper fashion.
It's WNBA news but it's too good to pass up. Star rookie 6'8 Liz Cambage was reprimanded by the league for the way she wears her shorts... From a Women Talk Sports article.
Watched Boise State vs.Oregon, albeit on the web. Everybody looked like they were dressed neatly, though. Any instances of inverted jerseys, ever?
