Midfielders are so hard to predict to me. I had Nolan get hot last year for a while, but usually they're really hit and miss.

You thought Mata, Chelsea's best player, might actually get played by his manager?

The answer being "today"...so everyone run snap him up, because he'll undoubtedly score a hattirck. Just sacrificed 12 points to bring in Eden Hazard, David Silva, and Sylvan Distin, and switched the rather expensive Jozy Altidore with the more economical Frazier Cambell.

The Appoo Sun-Times-Heards was impressed. Frant Page editorial praising the gaffer's transfer market acumen and everything.

It's a sad day when your Fantasy team does better when you stop playing for several months, than when you were actively setting the lineups...

Despite having a full slate of "better things to do", I thought I'd pass along a public reminder to @Friedel'sAccent for his ever-so-generous efforts at restarting our annual YA fantasy league. Thank you, kind sir!

Same. It's been an impressive, 50-person league in the past. If there's no word by tomorrow, no worries, I'll go ahead set one up and post the info here.

As long as you keep initiating these leagues, you'll always be a champion in my eyes.

Oh, I'm pretty sure most of us will find a way to crap the bed when it's all said and done. But hey, we'll be in good company when we do!

Begging forgiveness from the always-prompt-to-remind-me @TheRightPants , I've renewed our league for the new season. If you played last year, you're good to go. If not, just go to fantasy.premierleague.com, register a team, and enter the following league code: 2204838-483528

    Still 48 hours to go!

You came in second (or third) with a 200k rank? Taking y'all's money is going to be easier than I thought!

    Ah, the sh*t talk begins...

I did also finish first in 2011/12 with a 10k ranking out of 2.7M players.

And come to think of it... I don't remember you being in the top five at all the last few years.

Wow, you already went full Kelis and the season hasn't even started yet.

I'll be paying attention this year (I swear), so you're going down, boss-man...

So do you gain points for having a YA in your team? Who are everyone picking?

I like the "There will be blood" reference. But you shall still get flattened when you face the fantasy steamroller known as Kowboy's Spurs.

I've spent this entire Premiership season writing a book and ignoring my fantasy team. I don't even dare check on it now.
