Perhaps, I'm missing your joke about my joke --- but you do know that's the fellow in daprince's profile pic, right?

    Per Ornstein...

    - Arteta happy with the quality of the squad (especially when everyone is back from injury). We are likely looking at 1-2 loans in Jan to strengthen while players recover.
    - #1 need is left CB. After that we may look at a CM and/or a player that can cover FB.
    - We aren't close to any incoming deals at the moment
    - Mustafi exist is not close at the moment

Some Twitter speculation we're about to sign a holding MF from Brazil.

We're offering 25m for a 22 year old who's only ever played in Brazil and isn't capped by the NT? That's nuts.

His name has been popping up off and on for 2-3 months. Linked with Benfica (I think???) as well. The number I had seen before was 20m euro.

How is he going to get a work permit? That alone would make the deal extremely difficult.

If this happens Edu would unquestionable be behind it. Since he has shown a good eye for young Brazilians with his recruitment of Martinelli, I’m going to trust him on this one.

He also has us in for a Brazilian RB named Cuoto (I think?) with a euro passport (Spain I think) but he doesn't turn 18 for a few months and won't be able to join until the summer.

Seeing links today with PSG LB Layvin Kurzawa. He recently signed with Joorabchian and is out of contract this summer. The rumors are stating that we are working on a pre-contract deal with the possibility of throwing a little cash at PSG to get him on the roster in Jan.

Can't help but wonder if the Lemar for Laca rumors could be true. Just read that we opted to keep Nketiah for the rest of the season rather than loan him out again. Don't see him getting a ton of minutes ahead of PEA or Laca but if one is sold it certainly makes sense keeping him around.

Yeah. I've been thinking how under Wenger's (early) years we had such a French flavor, maybe now we'll develop a Brazilian or at least Conmebol flavor? I don't mind any ethnicity or culture as long as they aren't diving cheats. ;)

I wonder what is going to happen with all this post Brexit.

As things stand, a Spanish passport will be no better than a Brazilian one.

So does that mean euro players will be subject to the same rules as ROW when it comes to work permits?

Who knows, Brexit isn’t even defined?

this government is useless so I expect this state of purgatory for about ten years

also it was a stupid decision in the first place by an u educated population that blames everyone else for everything
