- What has been reported is probably 50% true. e.g There is probably some truth to what the Director of Resort saw/heard, and what Immobile dad and Verratti friend have said. = More Stuff: Buffon had said: “If you are young and have the talent to become a champion, you don’t play for the Nazionale after three or four games. You have to earn your stripes in Serie A. Now after three good performances a player gets into the squad and takes everything for granted.” 'You can see who was actually playing on the field and who wasn't there,' Italy captain Gianluigi Buffon said. Albertini “The World Cup? It is not true that there has been a divide between the young and old players.Having experienced it closer, I noticed that what was missing was those in mid-range between those who had extensive international experience and those who were with the national team for what looked like the first time.” http://www.football-italia.net/52540/albertini-my-priorities-change = IMO: - International/European match experience matters, especially for Euros/WC Verratti: His experience playing CL football showed @ WC and he did alright for Italy. vs. Immobile: It was a different story for him @ WC. - Although he scored 22 goals in Serie A and played 2o minutes vs. Spain and 55 minutes vs. Ireland, his lack of European match experience showed: - He was offside 3 times in 20 minutes vs. England. - He ran aimlessly vs. Uruguay and ended with cramps @ 70" and was offside 4 times vs. Uruguay. Immobile's dad: “He wasn’t himself in Brazil, the player I know,” he said." Good news for Immobile and Destro is their teams will play in UEFA CL, and if they stay fit and get games for their clubs then the experience will help them. .
I'm actually very curious to read this interview? Not saying it isn't valid, but would like to read what convinced you. Saying that, I believe most of the post world cup criticism if the team was exaggerated as is typical for the media to do, with the probable exception of the Balotelli pouting and blow up at half time which he basically confirmed.
