    Here is Ventura's Squad:

Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Gianluigi Donnarumma (Milan), Simone Scuffet (Udinese)

Defenders: Davide Astori (Fiorentina), Andrea Barzagli (Juventus), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Mattia Caldara (Atalanta), Federico Ceccherini (Crotone), Giorgio Chiellini (Juventus), Danilo D’Ambrosio (Inter), Matteo Darmian (Manchester United), Emerson Palmieri dos Santos (Roma), Alessio Romagnoli (Milan), Leonardo Spinazzola (Atalanta)

Midfielders: Daniele De Rossi (Roma), Claudio Marchisio (Juventus), Riccardo Montolivo (Milan), Lorenzo Pellegrini (Sassuolo), Marco Verratti (Paris Saint Germain)

Wingers: Federico Bernardeschi (Fiorentina), Antonio Candreva (Inter), Stephan El Shaarawy (Roma), Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli)

Forwards: Andrea Belotti (Torino), Eder Citadin Martins (Inter), Manolo Gabbiadini (Southampton), Ciro Immobile (Lazio)

I am confident we will definitely beat Liechtenstein, but the interesting thing will be what formation and players Ventura tries, and how many goals we will score. I really want to actually try and score a lot of goals. Not just a 1-0 or 2-0 win please. Try at least 5-0. I really think we can smash Liechtenstein if we give our all.

Anyone know where Zappacosta is? I know Florenzi and De Sciglio are injured, but is Zappacosta as well? or is he suspended?

Who will replace one full back? Darmian is probably gonna play on one side, but who on the other? D'Ambrosio maybe?

I hope to see Bernardeschi in there, although there is really a lot of competition for attack. Insigne, Candreva, Bernardeschi, Belotti, and Immobile are all competing. I suppose it will depend on what system we go with.

Zappacosta is hurt. So is Emerson Palmieri. I think Ventura goes 4 2 4 against Liech....

    Belotti and Immobile
    Insigne and Candreva
    Verratti and Marchisio
    Bonucci and Chiellini
    Darmian and Spinazzola
    Buffon

That will almost certainly be the starting eleven for the qualifying match.

Yeah thats what he has been going with so far, however he might change it up as it is Liechtenstein we are playing after all. I think there is a chance he might play Bernardeschi sometime in the game. Gabbiadini, and Romagnoli might also get chances. Although he will probably do a lot of experimenting vs Uruguay first.

Anyway I just want to say, I am so excited for this team. Good to see Marchisio and Verratti back together. We haven't seen that since the 2014 world cup I think. Also I love our potential in defense. Just thinking about it, Barzagli and Romagnoli would be starting on any other team, and yet for us they are bench players. We will always be the best country for defense.

So 4 days after the CL final Italy plays Uruguay in a friendly. I wonder if any of the Juve contingent will feature for that one.

I doubt it really, if they do it won't be for long. Not worth risking injury for an pointless friendly match.

We need to put up a huge number in this WC qualifier. Need to cut into that goal differential Spain has on us

Jiminez robs Belotti of an almost certain goal by...smashing the ball past Muslera into Uruguay's top corner himself. Autogoal.

    EDIT
Marchisio out with an injury. Montolivo in to save the day. We definitely got the big W now :)

Caceres out jumps Montolivo and seemingly ties the game, but ruled a foul cuz Ricky fell down. No goal.

Yeah I think so. The stream was really lagging at a point, and I missed that part completely. However it looks like nothing serious, but we just didn't want to risk him in a friendly.

    Anyway Nice Win!!!!

Shaarawy was excellent. Insigne had a glorious ball to Belotti on the first goal.

But Shaarawy is in some form.

Yeah, I wouldn't call him a starting player, but I do think he is a useful player off the bench.

SES has been playing really well for about 4 months now. His pace on the left is deadly. Really useful player. This was a nice win for us. Uruguay is no doormat. This helps our FIFA ranking which as much as it is BS, it is used for seeding come WC time.

What a refreshing sight to see our fullbacks playing so well. Darmian is really back in form and Spinazzola looked fearless out there. I loved it. This team is coming together nicely and with the talent on the U-21 side, we are putting together a formidable team.
