Ok so Here is Ventura's Squad

Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Buffon (Juventus), Gianluigi Donnarumma (Milan), Mattia Perin (Genoa)

Defenders: Luca Antonelli (Milan), Leonardo Bonucci (Juventus), Matteo Darmian (Manchester United), Mattia De Sciglio (Milan), Alessio Romagnoli (Milan), Daniele Rugani (Juventus), Davide Zappacosta (Torino)

Midfielders: Danilo Cataldi (Lazio), Daniele De Rossi (Roma), Marco Parolo (Lazio), Marco Verratti (Paris Saint Germain)

Wide men: Federico Bernardeschi (Fiorentina), Giacomo Bonaventura (Milan), Antonio Candreva (Inter), Lorenzo Insigne (Napoli), Matteo Politano (Sassuolo), Nicola Sansone (Villarreal)

Forwards: Andrea Belotti (Torino), Eder Citadin Martins (Inter), Ciro Immobile (Lazio), Leonardo Pavoletti (Genoa), Simone Zaza (West Ham United)

This is a great time to experiment since its only Liechtenstein we are playing, and then since Germany are a big team we can also test how our ideas would work against big teams.

Ventura has mentioned using a 4-4-2/4-2-4.

I am hoping to see this:

    -Belotti-Immobile-
    -Bonaventura-De Rossi-Verratti-Bernardeschi-
    -De Sciglio-Romagnoli-Bonucci-Zappacosta-
    -Buffon-
Candreva is also a good option as well, but since he is not at all having a good season with Inter, I'd rather bench him. Bonavantura hasn't been good for us yet, but he was out of position and is having a good season with AC Milan. Bernardeschi is an amazing player with high potential. Zappacosta as well I believe in.

Disagree about Candreva, but I'm excited to see Zappacosta get his debut. Bonaventura is also a sure thing and will hopefully have a good game. I expect Bernardeschi to get some minutes in this game as well

I hope the experimenting happens in the Germany friendly. Against Liechtenstein I'd like to see a formation that will score at will (or at least one that will score 5-6 goals) to cut down on the goal differential with Spain.

Replace doofous Zaza with Soriano, and I'm a happy camper.

Soriano is a CM, how's he doing at Villareal anyway?

If Zaza sees one minute of playing time I am going to drop the leg on him and Ace Ventura.

    3-0

Pass by De Sciglio deflected to Candreva and easy pass into the net. One of the rare times Italy decides to run up the score and it's already boring, lol.

Nice to see young guys starting today, this is a terrible team they are facing, its very casual.

this is actually a pretty appealing line up, hope the same guys are on field in Germany, of course results will be much different, but its far time to introduce the new young guys especially in friendlies, I would like to see Donnarumma play the 2nd half vs Germany.....

Dam that finish by Belotti was nice

Meaningless game with the exception of padding the stats for the standings. Pretty much a training match.

We need more goals to get close to Spain's goal difference

We need as many goals as possible to minimize the GD between us and Spain.

I'm curious to know what Ventura thinks about the 'level of Liechtenstein's league'?

Nice to see Insigne get some minutes.

Verratti played very well. Hope to see him play the full 90 vs Germany.

Inzaghi would have scored 16 if he was playing. Very wasteful up front tonight.

we are not going to catch spain likely until we meet them in September of next year.

at least new faces are being introduced, that is extremely encouraging....

Hopefully a foreward establishes himself over the course of next year we so we can be more confident. At least there is a hole up top to be filled and so this will increase likely hood of someone getting a shot to fill it such as Berardi(if he gets healthy and recovers form) Belotti( if he progresses), Mario (if he recovers form and mentality) and the rest of the usual suspects.

I dont see Ciro being much other then a regular sub who occasionally produces.

I dont understand Eder being here.... he had a crucial goal in the Euros and will be a hero for that, but did not do much else. He had one goal in 20 shots this year in the league.... Zaza has had nothing all year long, I appreciate both of them for their work ethic and their dedication... but they do not yield production of the field that produces results.

At least things are moving in a more progressive direction, that has been needed for a long time.

We will have a better idea of what we have here in the friendly because like Falc said, this was a training match... I turned it off at half time because there was just no urgency on that field... very casual.
