Is this being played in the bay area? Are there any Quakes players on either roster?
If no to both, why is this in the Quakes forum, without at least a NQR flag on the subject?

meh, who cares, I appreciate the info, and our season is over so basically we're just commiserating about how much we suck and why and what if anything will be done about it.

Saw the replay. Ethan Horvath had a great game but then not sure if that is good or not. When your GK has a killer game and the rest of your team is crap, that's not all that great. The USMNT may have found a new GK though.....

I watched a good portion of the first half during the lunch break. The US never had the ball and Italy rarely looked dangerous. The highlight was the red-headed kid (forget his name) losing and then winning the ball about three times in a continuous play near the center line. I had considered playing hookie for the second half but decided to go back to work. :)

I watched a recording last night. We looked anemic generally, except the keeper who came through when needed. Italy was by far the better team for most of the game.

I'm not sold on Sargent (the tall redhead). He's slow, has poor control under pressure and makes pretty bad decisions. I think everyone is hoping for the return of McBride with him, but I don't see it. The outside backs and were also pretty bad.

Second half was better when Trapp, Wood and Villafana came in... they could actually control the ball and make some good decisions.

I really like Acosta, but he needs better players around him for him to shine. I wish we would have traded for him instead of Colorado :p

I'm happy Sarachan played the kids during his tenure; he's taken one for the country and, hopefully, has shown us a few players for the future.
