I was wondering, do Italians in USA attach with this or similar type of shows. In Europe, Australia, it's normal to identify themselves with different type of movie characters. Especially in Melbourne, Sydney. You should see the life in Melbourne in the 90's, early 2000's.

The bad thing is that I was too little in 1990. to experience this World Cup live. I watched majority of videos from different WC's. But it's not the same, like live versions.
I can suggest vegetarian pizza also. Although, with prosciutto, mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, several types of mushrooms seem nice. Prosciutto San Daniele is often served in European (Italian) restaurants. The main problem that people get some weight very easy.
Alexi Lalas played in Padova, Greek heritage.
Other Italian was Paul Calgiuri also. USA seems complicated in terms of movements, defending.
    Pablo Mastroeni - Argentine-Italian.
USA, Japan started with amateur leagues. Japanese league was founded in 1992. And now they were in the knock out stage. USA had quarterfinals in 2002.

It’s kind of a catch 22 at least in my family. All of my aunts , uncles and cousins were intrigued by the mob movies , TV series and songs but none of us would ever act like they do. You watch the Bronx Tale for example and you love the music but it’s not like you would live like them. Same with The Godfather movies. When my mom and dad watched the films , they were amazed by the scenery and going back to Sicily and all but they didn’t like the killings.

The Sopranos was on HBO and not all of the older generation watched the series. I for example lived in Italy when seasons 4 and 5 were on so I didn’t see many episodes. The ones shown in Italy were actually older and in Neapolitan dialects. In the end many of us just took it as a comedy. Some of the things they use to say were extremely funny!

It's interesting that Godfather, Sopranos shows create their acts as the human virtue. Words about honesty, loyalty, respect, moral, religion, patriotism, cultural revelations, all that packed in a nice shell called the American dream.
I think it's more than a comedy...otherwise every possible country would broadcast similar scenario shows.
I watched before movies of Alain Delon, he makes that Italian image in his shows. In real life, he is good with Corsicans. Read his bio, even Wikipedia is helpful.
In Australia, they make documentaries about them, people from their soil. They belong to the pop culture and no one demands critical tones, pleasant nature of these people, life wisdom...

Emilio Pucci was pilot during World War 2 and rose to the rank of captain. During the war, he became a confidant of Benito Mussolini's eldest daughter, Edda.

As the war ended, he was arrested by the Gestapo then escaped to Switzerland. When the war was over, he returned to Florence, Italy to pursue his fashion career. His designs were very unique and colorful.

Now that France won their second World Cup, they should give Italy back their most prized painting!

No shit he is Italian. But why is the big deal about the Mona Lisa. I don't see it as one of his better works. Is it one of the few da Vinci items that can be found in France?

It’s certianly one of his most famous. There is no reason France should have it because both the artist and the work of art belong to Italy!

I know it is famous. My question is why? I do not find anything spectacular about it. Speaking of which, I clicked your pic above. Mona (or is it Lisa) is wearing a France Nike kit. It has two stars on it as well.

Yeah I just got that offline. A lot of people say the Gioconda is famous because I beielive parts ot the painting are a self portrait. Either way, it should be placed back in Floence or at least in Tuscany...
