For all the Azzurri fans in the GTA (greater Toronto area) the Azzurri legends will play vs Portugal legends on July 21st, 2014. Tickets are pretty expensive but there will be some big names playing. World Cup winners Zambrotta, Grosso, Perrotta, and Camoranesi. As well as Toto Schillaci and Paolo Di Canio.

Those guys should have represented us at the 2014 world cup. Would have put the squad that went there to shame. Absolute disgrace.

Nope. But there is a rumor that Roberto Baggio will be included.

    The Azzurri will kill em!
Wish I could see Baggio play again. I don't recall him ever playing in any of these old timers games since he retired 10 years ago.

Lol. You gotta love these exhibition games. Now Baggio isn't on the list of players. The good news is that Maldini, Nesta, and Materazzi have been added.

Materazzi says he has not be contacted and has never heard anything about this. He has contacted his lawyer.

When Baggio went to Stefano Borgonovo's charity game at the Artemio Franchi in Florence, a few years ago , I remember him saying he couldn't play because he could risk getting hurt really bad. I don't think he has played a game in 10 years since he retired from Brescia...

Maybe in Canada but I have my doubts that Rai International will show it.

The guy promoting this must be pulling his hair out. I also read that Materazzi wasn't contacted and won't be playing. However, Baggio is playing for sure now.

We won 2-0. Those losers can't even win a game of retirees. Portugal are the biggest chokers who despise Italy because we are 100 times better than us. All they do is wank off to Ronaldo and jump on his cock no matter where he goes. Jealous ********s.

Baggio didn't play at all. He was involved in the opening ceremony and that was all. If anyone was at the game can you post the players who played for Italy that night.

Too bad about Baggio but I think if he played, he could really risk getting hurt bad. I guess injuries and age have taken their toll over the years.

I was at the game, some of the players I remember that were there: Baggio (rode the bench due to an "injury"), Perrotta, Zambrotta, Oddo, Di Canio, Massaro, Schillaci, Delvecchio, Baresi.....and a few others.

Absentee's that were advertised to be there: Maldini, Materazzi, Grosso, Nesta, Gattuso, Camoranesi, Costacurta...etc.

To be honest, I would never buy a ticket for a legends event like this again. The whole build up and hype was completely misleading and complete false advertising. Half the players they said would be there were no-shows. Quite a disappointment actually but some credit to the organizers for trying their best to bring a decent squad to north america.

I don't like these games either but it seems like a lot of big names were there. I remember Maldini was interviewed before he retired saying he didn't want a retirement game as he thought they were never competitive. Anyway I think he and Nesta are enjoying their co-owned condo in Miami. .

Do you know how many fans showed up or were announced?
