The Azzurri travel to Holland for a friendly.

Some interesting things to note. Ventura switching back to 3-5-2. And Donnarumma to get the start. Apparently Darmian will start as well.

Hope Darmian gets back into form. When he was good he was good

1-1 so far. Good game to watch, both teams looking to attack.

This is The Netherlands style of play. Wide open with no defensive effort. We can't play this. We can't keep up.

De Rossi injury. Now 5 defenders and 2 DMs. Cmon Ventura.

We never do well with teams that play an open style of play. Croatia and Netherlands for example.

Belotti convinces me more and more every time I see him. He is very dynamic and lively in attack; never stops moving. He is the real deal. He wont be a Toro player for long.

Havent been impressed with Verratti these last 2 international games; bossed off the ball quite easily, not the quickest legs and not a whole lot of creativity, lots oft times where he could have easily sent an overhead ball to an onside, unmarked forward but opted for the simple side pass. Is it a confidence thing?

Yeah, he did; but that play doesn't occur but for Belotti's positioning and run. His decision-making will improve.

Sneijder comes on and almost scores from distance.

I like what I have been seeing in Zappacosta and Spinazzola on the wings the past few games... seems like they have more dynamic speed and movement going forward than De Sciglio / Darmian

Good Game Guys. We definitely did not play our best, but its a friendly. Honestly I would have much rather lost this game even with no injuries than won it with many injuries. I was especially worried about Bonucci. DDR seemed hurt, but hopefully it isn't too serious. Glad no other players got injured.

Darmian yes, but De Sciglio still strikes me as someone with high potential.

Good result. After watching this side over the last two games, I'm convinced that the best approach is not to waste a slot on an average striker like Eder or Immobile, playing a two man attack. I am fine with those guys being selected and being options off the bench; however, I think we should concentrate on controlling play by playing with a five-man midfield. In coming games it would be nice to see 4-3-3 consisting of: Buffon; Zappacosta, Barzagli, Bonucci, Darmian; Marchisio, De Rossi, Verratti; Candreva, Immobile, Insigne.
