At 6-foot-5, Izzy Tandir is hard to miss. The German-born Bosnian-American doesn’t mind the limelight, as he scored on an injury time penalty to win the game for Sloboda Tuzla against Metalleghe-BSI Jajce, 2-1. The 21-year-old center forward came up through the NY Red Bulls academy before heading to Europe, making the move from Serbia to Bosnia in January. It’s his first goal in just two appearances for Tandir, and the win lifts Sloboda up to fifth in the Premier Liga table, ten points off the pace after 20 games have been played. More importantly, it gives them a five point hold on a spot in the Championship Rounds with just two games remaining in the first part of the season.

We were looking for new players to try and replace those players who are leaving. We have a new player, Ismara Tandira, who comes from Frýdek-Místek, where he worked in the spring part. Rifle caught, he's a player who has ob No.the USA and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Parents come from Bosnia, born in Germany. He acted in the New York Red Bulls Academy. He is an atypical assailant, very tall. We will try to work with him in order to be able to replace those players who have shot goals in the past. In the past season, we considered the attack just as problematic.

Looks like we missed that Tandir had a brief stint at a second-tier Czech club in the spring after leaving his Bosnian club in January.

So remind me, I know Tandir has been called up to some Bosnian YNTs but is he provisionally cap-tied?

Also, in the UEFA coefficient that ranks leagues, where does Slovakia come in? Just curious for some context here before I start penciling Izzy into my Gold Cup roster. ;)
