Is Kieron Dyer the next big thing or a washout?

Maybe some Engalnd and or Newcastle fans can help me out with this question here.

I don't really get to see him play too often and when I see him he's not exaclty as impressive as some media outlets and fans seem to think or wish he is.

Maybe I just seem to catch all of his not so impressive games, I mean he is not total crap or anything like that but he just doesn't seem to have that special something, at least to me, that some others see or have seen.

It seems to me that he is often injuried which maybe why I have not seen him in an amazing light as of yet since it's hard to find form when your in and out of the squad due to reason beyond your control.

He have a few disicpline problems in the past as far as I know but he seems to have cleaned up his act a bit on that side of things.

I know some managers will put up with injuries or a wooly lifestyle if the players is a special talent but usually not both at the same time.

So let me know if I am overlooking a possible Toon and England legend or if he is one of the many with all the tools who just can't seem to get it together for one reason or another.

didn't Kieron Dyer make a porno with Rio Ferdinand and Frank Lampard?

  3. He's a brilliant player, as long as he can stop getting injured.

he is a brilliant player, pace and work rate are his main assets although he has been plagued by injuries particularly when England matches are happening which has limited his appearances. For example he has been forced to pull out of the current England squad for the euro 2004 qualifier against Slovakia

Thanks for the description of how he plays, i still can't say myself how i feel about him because i just have not seen enough of him to say for sure and it would be unfair to slag off on him with out real knowledge of the guy, but I am starting to get an idea of what he is like as a player.

I did know he was blazing fast already but what i mean is I have never really seen him grab a game by the scruff of the neck and just force it to go the way he wants, does he have that type of personality to match his highly rate skills?
