Italian reports saying Sarri met with and already discussing move to Roma next season.

Chelsea are club on their knees according to the back page of the times.

    Holland replacement
    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...-move-steve-holland-hand-maurizio-sarri-sack/

Despite criticism of Sarri’s stubborn team selections and tactics, and accusations that his training and meetings are boring, he has a better record in English football than City manager Pep Guardiola had at the same stage of his first season in charge. Sarri has won 28 of his first 43 games at Chelsea, one more than Guardiola managed two years ago.

“We are in the first final of the season,” Sarri said. “We are one point from the top four, the same points as Arsenal, and people say Arsenal are doing well. So we are doing a little bit better because we are in a final and yet our season is a disaster. I don’t understand.

If we were to get a manager like Eddie Howe here, would the talent on the field improve or turn into a midtable team (we're close to that as is).

Whats going to change ffs, same thing for 2 more years, no change in tactics nor in game adjustments, no any in-season or system adjustments, jorginho and koviac starting near every game, Kantte totally wasted, all with out Hazard, without CHO, without RLC, without AC, without transfers for 2 windows, even if we get a high quality striker in the summer he will probably sit half the matches so Pedro or Pulisic can play a false 9, the quicker this ********ing loser clown is out the door the better

if we make the top 4 at this point not an accomplishment so much as him even ********ing up sliting his wrists, too horizontal rather than succeeding vertically like Arse and ManUre (lol a arse today)

    Sarri on Kante’s injury...

"We will wait for the morning, it's very difficult to recover for the next two matches. We have to recover him for the final."

    Strong words there

yeah lets risk Kante's career for a now relatively meaningless Cup:rolleyes:

Sure it would be his first Cup in his 107 years on earth, but the desire to pressure/risk Kante shows who he is, really.

He might have to start RLC :eek::eek:, the horror, and risk being a better team, rather than risk the health of the best in the world at where sorri does not ever play him

But isn’t he saying we won’t risk him for the cup (semi), but hold out to have him available for the final?

I have been no fan of Sarri’s, but if we were mapping out reasonable best-case-results at the beginning of the year, third behind two teams with a huge talent advantage, a domestic cup final and Europa League final or victory wouldn’t have been far off. He hasn’t finished off the first and the last yet, but we’re in a good position. Last year made it clear that penciling in CL just because we’re Chelsea isn’t a thing. I feel like I should be giving him some modicum of credit for solid results *this year.*

    The end result is phenomenal.

How it happened still matters. We quite literally needed the 3 other guys to go on a horror run of form while us still not doing all that well. I don’t like this team whatsoever under Sarri. We’d be better off without him.

And an offside goal against Cardiff. Without that gaff by the ref we are nowhere near safe top 4.

Come on guys lets put a bit of perspective on this, Sarri didn't even get a pre-season! Lets give him at least one pre-season to work with! Also bear in mind even if he gets his one pre-season there is a good chance that because of a transfer ban he can't even get in any players he may want! He has (and may still) be working with his hands tied. Also bear in mind two 'other' clubs that have had to 'bed in' new managers this year, Man U & Arsenal - both have new guys at the helm and arguably 'both' have had a worse season than us, as somebody has already pointed out Guardiola needed a season to 'bed in' and he had multi billions of pounds at his disposal. I know standards need to be kept high but a top four finish and the possibility of two cup finals isn't really a bad return. Also bear in mind that IF we can win the EL it would mean that we would be one of only TWO or at most THREE clubs (if Watford manage to beat City) to actually win silverware at all, we could win more than Liverpool, Arsenal, Spurs, Man U and the rest of the Premier League not called Man City combined!

    Sarri No Sarri?

We did start the season well and Jorghinio seemed impressive at first as he was making more passes than most teams and his % pass rate was through the roof. I was happy we had poached Jorghinio from under the noses of Citeh. I wonder how he would have faired at City? Then all of a sudden the new Chelsea got sussed out by the other teams and sideways crab like football was becoming irksome - and Sarri, did he change? Did he modify his system? Did he develop? No he did not. Even last weekends result against Watford was down to chance. RLC made that game for us and he only played because Kante went off injured. Sarri was offering us Kovacic and Kante and Jorghinio and that is never going to result in a goal fest. Sarri doesn't rotate the players and Sarri is bloody predicatable and Sarri is not going to change. Do we want to put ourselves through another season of that?

    Another Italian manager, awesome idea.

Let's sign another Spanish striker while we're at it.
