    NO. Because most Brazilians who can actually PLAY the game gets his arse over to Europe just as soon as he can...read one stat that mentioned as many as 5000 Brazilians are playing in countries not named Brazil...

    What I always find strange is that non-English people praise English players of the club that they support i.e. Rooney is world class ect., then when it comes to internationals they revert back to "England don't have any world class players".

    ummm yes.. Brazil likely had the strongest league in the world up in the early 90s. Then again they had a period of dominance in the early 00s, and now they are on the rise once more. That's not even counting when the players weren't allowed to leave back in the 60s 70s and when very few players left in the 80s.

    Not paying attention to it, doesn't mean it does not exist.

    Carzola and Arteta are midfielder's as well so what's your point. Wilshire is just an overrated and a product of the english media he wouldnt get into the bench of any of the top clubs outside of england. Brasil league has been ranked number one plenty of times by fifa.

    Kind of like you with the Brazilians. You keep pointing to a couple of good games in the Champions League by Oscar for example. Even though he has only 1 goal in the entire EPL season (which I think came from a penalty even). Meanwhile, you think Lampard sucks when he has something like 11-12 goals from midfield.

    Nope not really, the difference is that when i talk about Oscar i used all the games not only the premier league games. You in the other hand keep pointing out that he has only one goal in premier league but forget about all his other goals in other competitions. Secondly Lampard has been at chelsea a lot longer than Oscar and most of his goals are penalties. Thirdly Lampard is not disciplined he roams all over the field doing what he likes and hurts the team instead of helping it.

    These 'long ball specialists' never have any problems putting your lot in their place do they! There is a reason why the EPL is by far the worlds most popular league you know - must be more to it than 'long ball' don't you think!!!?

    I'm not Lampard's biggest fan but that sentence is just nonsense - you will find it hard to find an attacking midfielder more disciplined than Lampard.

    Scoring 12 goals a season as opposed to 1 from Oscar obviously hurts the team.. Those were in his old days, nowadays Lampard sits deep and only comes forward occasionally, Oscar is not fit to scrub his boots. When Oscar has 200 goals for his club from midfield - more than most strikers - come back to me.

    Messi roams all over the field.. I guess that hurts Barcelona?

    Lampard has 12 EPL goals and 4 of them are penalty kicks.

    9 goals, 8 assists in 54 games in all competitions then for Oscar. Nothing special.

    You really think the problem is the managers not practicing penalties? All those English sides that choked on penalties spanned quite a range of years -- 90, 96, 04, 06, 12. You're saying all those different managers from all those different countries (and they weren't all English) neglected to practice penalties adequately?

    [All hands stand by for a double stantard alert...repeat... ;)

    You obviously didn't bother to actually read the match reports that I posted a link to: now you want to dismiss what may have been one of the biggest injustices in WC Finals history in favour of did the ball cross the line from a shot by Sir Geoff Hurst by 1/16th on an inch in an era with no official video replay???

    I suppose that in your relentess quest for football justice you've ever heard of the J. Charlton and Uwe Seeler incident that allowed West Germany to get an equaliser in the SAME MATCH?]

    You have this strange obsession with the EPL being the most popular league.
    It seems as If you believe people are sat down, given a video to watch of a epl match, then a la liga match, then a match from the bundesliga, then asked "hey which did you enjoy most?".

    Reality flash my friend, it's all about marketing and availabilty.

    Name an industry, from food and services to telecom, then find out what the most popular product or company associated with that industry is, do some research and 8 out of 10 times you will find out it's not a superior product and often inferior.

    Many people tried explaining the concept of marketing to you in the "la liga the best league" thread. I believe you either refuse to accept it, or you are simply to young to understand how the world works.

    It is for a 20yr old midfielder who joined the team less than a year ago. Those are a lot better stats than Chamberlain, Wilshire, Ramsey, Sturrigde, Cleverly, Welbeck or any other young english player you can think of playing in premier league.

    And look at Lampards shots per game he averages more than any other player on chelsea team. All he does is shoot when he feels like it because he goes for stats and not for wins. He has more shots per game than even Fernando Torres who is a striker.

    How is that racism, if a black person said they are best on the planet at for example at sprinting against any white person, how would that be racism {MOD NOTE: You're losing the plot here}

    That would be the truth, like the Arg being superior to the English in football, {MOD EDIT}

    No English man would EVER be in the same league as Maradona, Messi and Di Stefano for example, that is genetics, stick to.... well whatever sport the English are good at, it's funny that you taught the world so many sports but you can't even be the master at one right now LOL

    Prove it. If it's number one, why is it poor compared to the top European leagues? Why are its clubs small in global terms? You lambaste England in this thread, but if anything it's the exact opposite. Brazil has a better international history, but a shitty domestic set-up in world terms.

    total bollocks. this is why Italy and Spain had the best players? European leagues have always been the premier in the world, which is why your national players have practically always played overseas. The only world class players you had in the "early 90s" in your league were probably Brazilian.

    More total bollocks. Prove your assertions, if you can. Financially, prestige-wise, media-wise, etc. the European leagues have always pissed all over the South American leagues. This is why Neymar staying in Brazil is such a shock to many.

    You've slipped over a line for sure. Use the term "boy" and it's a red flag; use the phrase "your kind" and you've lost the plot. And now you've compounded it for shifting over to posts more suited to the World Rivalries forum.
