Robbie Keane scored against Manchester United today in the Cup at Old Trafford. The first time he's ever scored against Ferguson's side. His 18th of the season.
Daryl Murphy scores for Sunderland ! Seems to be be finding his feet in the Premiership having started the last 5 games.
Cracking goal by Murphy today. Brilliant pass by Reid to set him up. I thought Reid look a bit like me, a little chubby and slow.
Yes , a truly great goal by Darly - long may it continue. Nuestro gordo de la inch perfect pass - a reference to Andy Reid on a Sunderland web site , maybe the horizontal stripes are a bit fattening ?
Brilliant display by McGeady against Aberdeen: Murphy's goal:
Any thoughts on McGeady's performance last night? Celtic were utterly outclassed, but I thought Aiden did quite well. In the first half, especially, he seemed to have the beating of Puyol. One of the few Celtic players to rarely give the ball away, and his cross for Robson's goal was excellent.
Alright lads im a Man City and Droylsden fan where we play in the conference just wondering if any of your teams would be interested in playing us pre season maybe home or away post your replies on our forum if you want www.droylsdenfc.Co.uk cheers lads and good luck for your season oh and to cheer you all up check this out www.youtube.com/watch?v=BLYpnxQGgFg
Duff played very well in the ass whooping by Manyoo. Given had to come off at the half as his groin was bothering him again.
Given's injury problems are very very worrying at this point. Well done to Robbie Keane and Tottenham winning the League Cup today! His first medal in senior English football.
So Keano (who wanks his dog) has decided to help out the ROI by transfer listing Liam Miller because he's a poor time keeper. And so the circus continues. http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=511882&cc=5901
hehe so much for Cork loyalty. Good to see Shane Long start up front with Kevin Doyle in Reading's win. And Richard Dunne was again outstanding for Man City, though they could only draw 0-0 with Wigan.
Andy O'Brien captained Bolton in their 1-1 draw with Sporting Lisbon in the UEFA Cup. Joey O'Brien also started. Robbie Keane started for Spurs vs PSV, and Lee Carsley started for Everton.
Actually that brings up an interesting point. Carsley had a deal with Staunton to be called up only if he was going to be played. I suspect Trappatoni might be made of different (sterner?) stuff.
Steve Hunt has just inflicted a serious injury on Richard Dunne... in front of Brady and Tardelli. Sigh...
Well fortunately we don't have a match that really matters for nearly half a year. Dunne will unfortunately miss the chance to get some experience under Trapp's system (if the 3-4 months very rough estimate I just heard was true. They weren't sure of the injury on the radio). Long just scored, about time if you ask me
The injury happend by Dunne flying in to tackle Hunt as he ran down the wing. Perfectly fair hard challenge by Dunne, but he came off worst.
Joey O'Brien played 90 more minutes in midfield for Bolton as they went out of the UEFA Cup in Lisbon. More good experience for him, despite the loss. Andy O'Brien was rested. Quite important for these lads, I think, that Bolton stay up.
Robbie Keane was excellent and scored a great goal today, then threw a trantrum when he was taken off in the second half. Ireland also scored - though there was more than a hint of offside about the goal. I thought some of his touches, especially in the second half, were excellent. Richard Dunne was his usual outstanding self.
