Ireland are up against it in Euro 2016 qualifying, and anything less than 6 points from our September fixtures will see us eliminated. Fixtures elsewhere in the group are as significant as our own, with Scotland having a tricky trip to Tbilisi, and Germany taking on Poland. We'll have a much clearer idea of the results needed in October after this round of matches.

    Preliminary squad:

Goalkeepers: David Forde, Shay Given, Kieren Westwood, Darren Randolph, Rob Elliot.

    Defenders:
Richard Keogh, Marc Wilson, Seamus Coleman, Cyrus Christie, John O'Shea, Alex Pearce, Ciaran Clark, Paul McShane, Stephen Ward, Greg Cunningham.

    Midfielders:
James McCarthy, Jeff Henderick, Harry Arter, Glenn Whelan, Eunan O'Kane, Aidan McGeady, James McClean, Robbie Brady, Alan Judge, Anthony Pilkington, Stephen Quinn, David Meyler, Wes Hoolahan.

    Strikers:
Shane Long, Robbie Keane, Daryl Murphy, Jon Walters, Adam Rooney, Kevin Doyle, Anthony Stokes, David McGoldrick, Simon Cox.

    USvsIRELAND repped this.

Georgia have beaten Scotland 1-0. Massive result for us, we go ahead of Scotland with a win vs Gibraltar.
