I recently discovered a thread in which I had the thread starter on ignore (for some reason ) and that rendered the entire thread invisible. I had to have somebody link to the thread for me to be able to see it. That seems like a technical issue.

Still happening. I had to remove tab from my ignore list, unfortunately, just to be able to see the threads he starts.
Any possible update on this? Would it be possible to see every thread (and original post), even by those on the ignore list, then ignore the user everywhere else?
