How do you miss a quality block at the volleyball net?

2nd or 3rd rate 1st half. There is no point in most of the play as there are a lot of passes that do nothing except pad the statistics.

It looks like the players simply want to avoid injury.

We still have nobody that can take a free kick.

Whatever it says about the game Morris is the best player on the field.

The field is embarrassing, the competition is passive at best. No one really looks like they are trying. We get the crappier side of the field now. Not sure why this game is being played where it is, and why there is so little effort (unless its just the field).

    This game is sloooooow.

Ream as a LCB is >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Ream as LB
Long seems to have zero idea what to do with the ball.

    Yueill isn't dethroning Trapp unfortunately.

Agreed. This clearly shows Will Trapp and Zardes are garbage. I’m not hot on JY, but he’s already better than Trapp and Sargent clearly superior to Zardes.

We could be a pretty decent team with some retooling.

Why mother fing Guzan though, what the actual F?

I understand USA fans are in a really dark place given the current predicament, but the first half was a decent one for your side against a Uruguay team that still has a lot of quality players in it despite missing Suarez and Cavani. The USA has been the better team, and created a few really nice chances through passing and movement on the wings.

Still 0:0 by the end of 1st half. Nobody on the pitch gives a ******** about game, everyone's goal here is to avoid injuries, wrap it up ASAP and - on the plane home to play real soccer, not pretend one.

Slooow game so far. Not much pressure on our players. Nobody would ever play against us this way in a competitive game.

Dest has been our best player. Morris and Lletget have been good. Sargent is better than Zardes.

No one else has stood out in a positive way IMO. Tyler Boyd is on his second straight poor game. I'm skeptical of his future for this team.

Yep, agree with most here. Watched 20 mins and that's it for me. This is useless.

Like Ream at CB, Morris looks good, Guzan needs to retire with the rest of the Lions.

That's it, I'm going to watch Seinfeld instead.

In this game, against this forward.

Ream has been exposed over and over and over again, at both club and international level, against forwards that have either speed or size.

He's similarly exposed as a LB against anyone with pace.

I thought that was a pretty decent half, but, of course, the intensity is much lower than Friday.

If Brooks isn't available (which is apparently 90% of the time), I like Ream at CB. If the CBs are going to have to do so much on the ball in this system, we need someone who can pass better than Long, Zimmerman, and Miazga there.

Morris and Dest have looked good attacking down the left.

Dest by far our most inventive, dangerous player.

I think that Ream owns LCB now. He settled things down back there and can hit all the passes. He is taking that spot. Good job Tim.

Playing him there allows you to play Adams and McKennie as rovers and allows you to take Bradley out of the lineup. Team solves a lot of problems

Decent half. Very even. Probably should be 1-1, but bad finishing, and good keeping my Muslera.

Morris, Dest, and Ream were notably good. Morris MOTH for me.

The only particularly bad player has been Boyd. His stock has to be dropping like a rock lately.

Everybody else has been a mixed bag, individually. But that cm collectively is light on mobility, and it's causing some problems for us defensively. Not a sieve like w/ Trapp back there, but still an issue.

Hello guys, I started to watch at minute 35 and our boys look descent. Morris looks very active. Uruguay doesn't look to be at the same level as Mexico.

Actually that is very unlikely. The crappy pitch is "loose" and that means that the injuries will, probably, generally be minor because the foot will not stick in place. It is sticky surfaces, like many turf fields, that cause the worst injuries. A loose field or a muddy field or a slick field will generally contribute to minor injuries not major ones.
