How are they lined up? I don't really understand who is playing left back, right back, dm or acm.

That right central channel looks dangerous.

Don't think Mexico is playing their best squad anyway.

Sorry guys, I’ve been in a hiatus, between school and work and Dorian and taking care of myself, haven’t had time at all to be with the best of BigSoccer.

CP is gonna have to play provider/AM here - even if it's from width. Hope he's up for it.

On the other hand, there's a decent bit of defensive hustle between Morales, Wes and Trapp (didn't expect the 3 of them) that the middle should be challenging for Mexico. This seems like it might be a bit of a retro-game. Feels like a fast-moving attack/countering line-up that can over load on attack, esp from the wide slots. But I don't expect much possession. (Hope I'm wrong.)

Hope we don't get hit on counter-counters the get in behind the FBs.

I cannot really get over the catastrophe of starting WT at DM when McK plays that exact role in an infinitely more competitive league against immensely better coaching and players.

I have zero interest in seeing Dest at lb. Interestingly, Dest will be under par playing at his non preferred position on the left and we already know Cannon's offense is spotty on the right. i.o.w., we go into a game v. Mexico less than optimum at both fullback positions.

Pulisic will be easier for Mexico to keep an eye on out wide.

Looks like Berhaler doing housework while we watch.

is it a 433? I guess it only really matters where trap is starting so we know where tata will abuse us.

OMFG....This just got crazier by the minutes minutes.

    Let's see

1 - Who exactly is driving our attack? Who's the attacking central mid here? We have absolutely zero bite in the offensive. We'll probably create 2 attacking chances through the mid at best.

2 - Asking Morales and Trapp to defend the middle? Might as well put two U12 kids in there. This our middle of the pitch is gonna have a very very long day at the park.

3 - Long and Zimmerman are going to chase down the fast Mexican forwards, step by step?

This fool of a coach is getting worse every game. He's so bad, Tata is probably shaking his head and going WTF.

Im confused with this lineup but if he uses his subs right, we could see semblances of the future of the program. Still unsold on him as a coach, but it will be interesting to see the players our there.

Also will Dest be okay at LB? I mean he did leave his options for playing for the Dutch wide open, Im not a follower of the Dutch team so Im not sure how deep they are at FB, but considering how weak we are, I would think him playing his preferred position would be ideal.

Whatever it's called, I'd guess it plays like:

    Morales CDM-ish, deeper than Trapp.
Trapp "holding CM-ish" playing right channel.
Wes as an ersatz 10 playing every vertical B2B
Pulisic as a Wide AM, cutting in at the 20.
Boyd wider, Zardes as "more central" forward.
Dest and Cannon with room on the wings.

That's how I think it will play anyway. Let's see.
