This has always been so FRUSTRATING. Klinsi was RIGHT, we need some nastiness in our games. They kick you once, you kick them back twice. Let them know you aren't taking no bullshit. You mean business. I LOVE Morales' 'f*ck you' attitude out there. He's taking players down, shoving them, pushing them down, etc. More of our players need to play like that. We play like kids against men out there most of the time.

We have 2 CBs who can't pass out of pressure and Zardes and Boyd are both terrible as release valves so it's easy to see why we're getting cooked. Also, Trapp just sucks.

Any team with Trapp in front of the back four will experience this kind of pressure. His inability to turn and pass the ball forward is key to opposing teams pressing our technically deficient backline. Then once the ball turns over deep in our third, his ineffective defense is the catalyst to what amounts to a jailbreak headed straight at Steffen. Just bad personnel decisions.
I don't mind being down 1-0 But for the love of God! Why Zardes keeps getting called up to the USMNT? Haven't we seen enough of him? Sargent is 10 x better technically and IQ wise. Also Morales, he lost in the midfield, he needs to be replaced with Trapp.

the offense basically consists of when we manage to win the ball, we turn around and pass it back, sometimes all the way to a nervous steffen, then try to pinball it forward one or two touch with second rate midfielders. that is going to be a turnover machine. try playing a different way with different players.
I try not to get worked up over every little detail of lineups but look at the big picture, and well, the big picture isn't much better. I'm not seeing any real improvement or increased understanding on the pitch.
You forgot the really good shot from distance by Puli. Maybe they can clone him really quickly and then we might have a chance in the second half but I think it might take four or five of him.

Culprits on the goal, in order of blame: 1. Trapp guarding nobody 2. Dest gets beaten badly allowing Tecatito all the time in the world 3. Boyd slow to pick up far post while Cannon was covering middle 4. Long didn't charge at Tecatito (although could have gotten burned worse)
Agreed. The manager has really lost the plot when it comes to player selections. He seems to have favourites, which is not conducive with building a top tier side.
