@Seol Korea salvaged his reputation as being a match thread loser with a win against Venezuela 3-1. The question is, will he make it two in a row against Uruguay? The saga continues.
5 THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT ULI STIELIKE, SKOREA’S NEW SOCCER COACH http://iamkoream.com/5-things-you-should-know-about-uli-stielike-skoreas-new-soccer-coach/
The hell happened to NT thread? I know this isnt related to the Uruguay match but we have another reason for Lee Dong-guk to do well at the Asian Cup 2015. Lee Dong-guk is 2nd in scorer chart with 10 goals behind 1st place Ali Daei with 14 goals. I hope to see Lee Dong-guk score more than 4 goals at the Asian Cup next year, and break that record. He still holds the ACL top scorer chart (although by just 1 goal from 2nd). Should bang more in next year.
The official press conference on the appointing of Uli Stielike will be held on the 8th of September at 5:30 PM Korea time, and then right after the presser he will head to Goyang Sports Complex to observe our players.
That was because of an injury crisis Swansea had right before the League Cup final. I didn't watch the game, but his performance at CB appeared to be decent, and he was described as "unselfish" by the club and accumulated a 7 out of 10 rating on Sky Sports.
The biggest concern has less to do with Kis ability to play that deep which he's done fine at (esp with the very low bar set by Korean defenders recently) but the fact that you're taking one of our best players out of the attack
I completely agree. Ki Sung-Yueng was always compared to Steven Gerrard, who's a classic, highly-versatile box-to-box midfielder. Ki can certainly play a variety of positions. In the WC match against Belgium, where Son Heung-Min was gassed and subbed out, a bunch of netizens wanted Hong to move Ki up to striker instead of Lee Keun-Ho because Ki's finishing ability is arguably better than several of the KNT's forwards. So in these warmup games, I would actually like to see Ki moved up to an attacking midfielder role because his offensive skills and ability to score goals from distance have been underutilized for the KNT lately. He could add a lot to the attack from the central midfield like Yoo Sang-Chul used to.
Looks like Shin Tae Yong is actualy serious on the 3/5 back with KSY at CB But I always did wanna see LMJ / KSY as the AMs/CMs in the 4-1-4-1 SHM - KSD - LCY --- KSY --- LMJ --- -SJH/PJH--
It looks like moving Ki Sung-Yueng around, this time at centerback, seems to be part of the new tactics. I guess it's because there's so little faith in the current KNT defenders, but is it really worth limiting the possession in midfield and weakening the attack from outside the box? I just hope they never go back to long balls to LDG ever again.
