Ahh, looks like my stream is a little behind. I just saw him walk down the tunnel and we were playing 10v11.
ffs how many times do we need to keep seeing one of our CB's out jumped and out headed for a ball. smh.
Our runs have been really good, and the midfield guys have done well to find them. Curious to see how we look with a faster and more mobile 9
think lee yong and park juho returned from their national team absence way too early. park juho made the assist but a lot of poor touches/positioning aside from that. lee yong just returned from injury and should have been left alone to raise form
The midfield line has been good. Ki great. Ref allowing a lot of physical play go. Need more concentration and tighter marking out back. This is a good test. We let NI back into the game. Still, I'm happy with the first half.
LKH is slightly injured. Time for HHC. To see him lumber around and kill our rhythm is pathetic. To see KSW outjumped on set pieces is unfathomable...
PJH has played pretty well so far. Doing his job as the defending midfielder, but also contributing to the attacks, like his assist.
Yeah if he can find his old form again, that would be amazing for us. He was excellent playing alongside Ki in the early days of the Stielike era
PJH with some great passes. He had a couple of poor touches. He needs to space himself better between LJS and KSY. But the connection between KSY and PJH is clearly there. SHM is just being shackled due to KSW's ineffectiveness. LJS playing like a stud. KCH is playing pretty well too.
Pros: - Kwon Chang-hoon scored a sweet goal from a buildup play, something we haven't seen in a while. Park Joo-ho's link up. - 4-3-3 looks safe for now. - Midfield play looks pretty decent. - Park Joo-ho playing well after a long return. - Ki is class. - Lee Yong playing aggressively, getting in position and bombing forward. - Good runs and link up/build up plays by our players. Cons: - We still can't defend on setpiece for shit, so can't really fault Kim Min-jae for the og. While it's important to pay attention to the oncoming ball in the air, our players need to stay focused and pay attention to the ball that is dropped. - Ref advantage for Northern Ireland, lot's of fouls committed by them that were not called.
The two returning players Lee Yong and Park Joo Ho show that they really want to get into the WC squad.
It does look like we've been giving NI too much space when they take possession, though they haven't really capitalized on it. Our WC opponents will obviously be a lot more dangerous.
That's why Lee Young-pyo stated that it's better to fcuk up now when it's just a friendly rather than paying the price at the WC.
