I guess we didn't get the team that held off pressure from U.S in gold cup semi. We got the team folded against Mexico in the final.
You did not get either of those teams. You got a totally different team. 7 starters missing from the Gold Cup squad. 4 more players who'd usually play off the bench are missing as well. You're seeing 3rd and 4th stringers out there, the bulk of whom would not have made the Gold Cup squad. We can't bring patchwork teams and expect to compete against quality sides like South Korea. They are too good. This will always be the result. I know it is just a friendly but I still would have liked us to at least look competent. Anyway, congratulations to you guys on a resounding win and good luck in qualifiers. You should be well on your way to topping Group G.
With a full-strength squad coming back for qualifiers next month, hopefully we have some luck in football too.
Too bad its Myanmar and Laos next. With our players in good club form, would love to get a better barometer of where we stand.
As I've stated before, Lee Yong-Soo is already in the process of lining up strong opponents for us starting next year.
not to give you grief but werent you the first to say that you didnt care Jamaica didnt bring 7 starters? newayz
As I said before there really wasn't much to take away from it aside from raising JDW and HEJ's confidence. Still, it's always nice when you win by a comfortable 3-0 margin. Wish it was a stronger Jamaican squad, they looked weaker than Kuwait on this day...
well I hope people don't get too excited by these recent matches, judging from the twitter feed at the tavern. stielike has done a great job but truth told, we havent played anyone of quality in a hell of a long time. now we have laos next??
