Not sure if anyone else here is in Charlotte, but I was at the match. Staying at PSG's hotel actually. Crazy how heavily the support was in favor of us - Chelsea fans outnumbered PSG fans by a huge long shot. First half looked like we were going through the motions quite a bit, and Mikel had a really poor game. The South Americans + Remy were in good form when they came on; not sure how Falcao looked on TV, but he seemed surprisingly sharp from what I saw. What a pen by Courtois. Felt nice getting one over PSG despite it being just a preseason match
Oh, please. It was a perfect occasion to play him. This result has zero impact on us winning a trophy. It would have been the most worthwhile preseason runout for him given the quality of their midfield and the intensity of the match given the bad blood between the teams. It would have told us a lot more about his readiness to contribute this season than playing against Sydney FC, Red Bulls, or even Barcelona.
I was in Times Square the other day (barf) and PSG had ads running on one of the big screens there. Hashtag this, hashtag that.
Not a single youth player participated yesterday unless Traore was a late sub. It's always amazing how Chelsea fans want to make something out of nothing. If he doesn't play another match this preseason I'd worry. Not after the likes of the South American join up with the squad and are looking to get match fitness.
