8pm EST ESPN Deportes and Fox Sports 2 (in glorious standard def) My hopes for this game is that no one gets injured and they only play 45 minutes.
Hope we see RLC again and a little more of Falcao - he looked better than I expected in his cameo against PSG
Want to see an extended run by RLC in the next two preseason matches not the Shield match. Hope to see Chalobah too. Wondering if he sees time in midfield or defence and same with Ake.
Chelsea line-up: Courtois, Ivanovic (c), Zouma, Cahill, Azpilicueta, Fabregas, Matic, Kenedy, Oscar, Hazard, Diego Costa. #CFCTour— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) July 28, 2015 Kenedy starts though we haven't actually signed him yet
Been wondering what the deal with him is. Trying to get around a work permit somehow (showing he has extraordinary ability or whatever the criteria is for those young players who may not have played many internationals yet)? Can't agree a fee with Fluminense? Assessing whether or not we actually want to sign him? Can't say I recall a time where a player outside of a club has featured for them in a match, even if only a preseason friendly. In Charlotte he was warming up prematch apart from our other players with a fitness coach which also struck me as a bit odd. I'm very interested in seeing him play
I haven't even heard of Kenedy in the transfer rumors. First time I've ever even heard his name. Huh. Other than him and Zouma in for JT, yeah, that's full strength.
Already impressed by Kenedy. Gave the ball away but he immediately tracked back, fought hard and won it back, then immediately drew a foul in an attacking position. FK nearly led to a Zouma goal. Kenedy prevents a one-on-one opportunity with Suarez and Courtious by muscling Suarez off the ball. No foul, no penalty. Just a clean challenge. More, please.
Oh my god, Hazard. I just celebrated that goal like it meant something. God damn that was something else.
That was a good challenge by Kennedy. Not a foul. Before that Oscar hits the crossbar with a free kick.
