And the never will. Italy hasn't shown any interest in playing against the Socceroos and Max struggles to get into the Socceroos line-up. Not Juve, Sampdoria, Reggina, Lecce, Udinese and Catanzaro. They're currently interested in signing me. They really need a quality striker and I can shoot from every angle and distance possible. I can score volleys like the one Van Basten scored in the Euro 88 Final on a regular basis and long range efforts like Hagi.
No but I used to play the FIFA soccer games a lot on PC. I only said that as a joke because Bertje's comment was just as much of a joke. You have to be silly to actually believe what I have said there.
OK, here's a silly Best of XI. Best Italian side without players ending with an "i". ---------------Riva--------R Baggio -----A Mazzola----Rivera----Zola----Causio ----Burgnich-----Scirea-----Rosato-----Gentile -----------------------Zoff Wasn't really hard. What's really hard is coming up with an Italian All-Time XI of players without a single "i" in their names!
Great line-up. Lots of quality players. To come up with an Italian All-Time XI with players who have no "i" in their surname is impossible. If you wanted to create an Italian XI with players who have no "i" in their surname, you will need to put in some duds. I've created a team of players who played in the Serie A in the 1990s and the have surnames that have at least 11 letters. There's another post that is similar but it only has current players. This will only have Italian players. GK --------------Taglialatela SW --------------Franceschetti DF Tempestilli -----Baronchelli --------Maltagliati MD Giandebiaggi Notaristefano Guglieminpietro Piangerrelli ST -------Giovannelli ----------Martusciello With some of the players that I had put in midfield, I'm not too sure about their real positions. If someone can correct these, it will be well appreciated.
davids was born in 1973 and hasselbaink in 1972 so both of them where born when surinam was still dutch (indipendence 1975)...so they are not really imigrants....
Best XI for players who played in a WC Final, but never won it. GK Grosics RB Buzánszky CB Baresi CB Kohl LB Maldini RM Rummenigge CM Neeskens CM Bozik LM Masopust FW Puskás FW Cruffy
Here's another silly Italian All-Time XI: Players without any 'i' in there names! --------------Pruzzo------Serena -----A Mazzola---Zola---Capello----Cuccureddu ----Ferrarra-----Rosato----Nesta-----Costacurta ----------------------Zoff In a similar vein, here's an All-Time German XI made of players that do not end with an 'er': ------Rummenigge----Klinsmann------Rahn ------Overath--------Matthäus-------Bonhof -----Brehme-----Liebrich----Stielike-----Vogts -----------------------Kahn
I don't consider these Italian XI's silly. I think that they're quite interesting and this team is actually not a bad side but with a few problems. Fabio Capello was a forward and Cuccureddu was more of a defender. In my opinion, I thought that upfront, you could have put in Roberto Bettega. That German side that you created looks like a very good side. I love that forward line.
I also thought those Italian and German Best XI are cool. BTW, can someone come up with an all-time coach selection? I meant the playing position for great coaches. I have the following candidate Zoff for keepr, Beckenbauer for sweeper, Capello for wherever once you all settled on his playing postion.
Cruijff, van Basten, Ronald Koeman, Neeskens, Rijkaard, van Hanegem. Plenty to choose from. Unless you have as a criteria the coach has to be succesfull. Michels was a very promising forward before he got injured. But I guess the promise of being a great player isn't enough. Edit: Okay, you said great coaches. Well Cruijff, Puskas(not an all time great but he did take Panathinaikos to a final).
Wow, it was easier than I thought: -----------Popivoda--------Surjak ----Oblak----Bobek---Sekularac----Zebec ---Cajkovski----Katalinski----Jusufi----Buljan ----------------------Beara
Barbarez never played for Yugoslavia. The other players listed are famous for playing for Croatia, not Yugoslavia, although some of them did play in 1990. But considering the history of how Yugoslavia fell apart in the 1990s, I would reckon none of these Croatian players would like to be called "Yugoslavian", that's why I didn't include the Prosineckis, Jarnis, Sukers and Bobans.
