With several good and interesting signings this season is shaping a more positive outlook than seasons past, with a new mentality and the club doing tremendous work from working on getting a stadium to changing its transfer strategy this season will be an interesting one from several aspects We open the new season vs Pescara, a team who has had several changes but who still seems to want to go out and attack which is why we should be wary of them seeing as our defense isn't our strong point here is the call up Goalkeepers: 12 Castellazzi, 27 Belec, 32 Cincilla; Defenders: 4 Zanetti, 6 Silvestre, 23 Ranocchia, 25 Samuel, 33 Mbaye, 40 Juan, 42 Jonathan, 44 Bianchetti, 55 Nagatomo; Midfielders: 10 Sneijder, 14 Guarin, 19 Cambiasso, 21 Gargano, 24 Benassi, 41 Duncan; Forwards: 7 Coutinho, 22 Milito, 81 Longo, 88 Livaja, 99 Cassano. our 1# GK Handanovic is still not cleared after having surgery, Castellazzi will probably start which isn't too much of a worry, Chivu is out with injury and so is Mariga, Stankovic, Alvarez, Obi & Gaby Palacio is apparently serving some sort of suspension and Maicon is an unknown as pepino has posted a 4-2-3-1 or 4-2-1-3 is likely seeing as strama uses the 2 man defensive midfield I have no clue who is a real threat for Pescara but I still fancy our chances of winning or at least getting a good draw Let us start our campaign with our heads high, we made some quality signings, our coach and club are optimistic and we are still a squad that can challenge for the scudetto Forza Nerrazzurri!
My sister was an Inter supporter, and it's been over a year since I've been able to watch them play. Of course, alot has changed, and the squad is very different to what I was accustomed to in what I call the Crespo-days. Excuse my ignorance, but what is the new transfer policy?
lol? think the order goes, Pupi, Stankovic(though he probably won't feature), Cucho and then maybe Milito? afterwards your guess is as good as mine ahh the crespo days, winning in the 90+ minutes, buying anyone that looks good and overpaying for them, relatively no competition due to the 06 scandal, have to say those were some good times well you've probably seen evidence of the new style of transfer policies: not breaking the bank for a player like before, getting out wage eating players, replacing the old guard with younger players, getting money from selling players and using it to buy new ones(buying within means) and using smart transfer options like loaning players from other clubs instead of buying out and paying the full amount before we were one of the big spenders of serie a now we are looking at how we spend and making smarter decisions, other clubs *cough* milan *cough* are doing the same
I just thought because he has been involved in lots of outside the game stuff with inter (press conferences, meetings, fund raising) he moved up. Also Could be because of Cordoba and the Colombian connection. Tonight excited to hopefully see Juan Jesus and Coutinho play
well just about every player gets involved with outside events, we have campuses all over the world and certain players that were from a country with a campus would go there and visit and play with the kids, I've seen tons of guys in fundraising or fan events, I guess that's why a lot of players are reluctant to leave our club since they eventually become much more involved within the club I would like to see gargano play for a while in perhaps a 3 man midfield, I'm very interested in seeing how long cassano will play and what he can do(haven't seen a ton of milan or italy games)
don't know if cassano will start but he is included in the list to play, palacio however is not since he is suspended maybe we'll see -----------milito------------ coutinho-sneijder-cassano
we don't have another real center forward that and even though he had a bad first half of the season he managed to redeem himself and scored 24 goals, 4 less than zlatan the top scorer
looks like a tree formation Pescara: 77 Perin; 2 Zanon, 4 Cascione, 5 Capuano, 6 Romagnoli, 14 Balzano, 17 Weiss, 18 Colucci, 20 Nielsen, 80 Jonathas, 99 Caprari. Coach: Vincenzo Stroppa Inter: 12 Castellazzi; 4 Zanetti, 6 Silvestre, 23 Ranocchia, 55 Nagatomo; 21 Gargano, 19 Cambiasso, 14 Guarin; 10 Sneijder, 99 Cassano; 22 Milito. can we ask for anymore? 3-0 goals 1st: sneijder with milito assisting 2nd: cassano assisting milito 3rd: milito assisting coutinho castellazzi with some great saves for his clean sheet, the rest of the team played very well Ranocchia looked like his genoa self, silvestre did well, nagatomo contributed offensively and defensively, zanetti with another age defying performance midfield worked well with guarin-cucho-gargano, though guarin was getting hot heated in the 1st half and didn't venture forward as much cassano, sneijder, milito, coutinho...scoreline speaks for them it's been a while since we've won our first league game, now to qualify for the EL group stages!
Good to see a lot more activity on this forum. Didn't want to start a new one to talk about this but is anyone watching Pazzini 3-goal exhibition vs. Bologna? May Cassano do the same.
didn't like the first PK but good for him, let's hope both are healthy next month oct. 7th, the derby list for tomorrow's game vs Roma Goalkeepers: 12 Castellazzi, 27 Belec, 32 Cincilla; Defenders: 4 Zanetti, 6 Silvestre, 23 Ranocchia, 25 Samuel, 40 Juan Jesus, 42 Jonathan, 55 Nagatomo; Midfielders: 10 Sneijder, 14 Guarin, 19 Cambiasso, 21 Gargano, 31 Pereira, 41 Duncan; Forwards: 7 Coutinho, 8 Palacio, 22 Milito, 88 Livaja, 99 Cassano. will be interesting to see who starts out in RB
