Well when I was watching the game after the goal Arsenal looked good and with Carlo having a history in the cl of bottling games that he had in the bag I thought maybe they would pull off what they did to Milan a few years back.. Also playing at home they would not want to embarrass themselves. Anyways that was not the case and the germans laid them out.

options 1 and 2 are better than option 3. playing in a KO round would be fun even if we were underdogs. like napoli for example, they had 0 chance of defeating madrid but gave their fans some hope.
i think i'd take a successful group stage, a 10-2 ass-kicking, and the pile of cash that comes along with all of that over not playing. i definitely wouldn't want to blow a 4-0 lead. i really miss having something to care about during these mid-week matches. i'm down to just copenhagen left on my list of teams i root for. no milan, no celtic, no shakhtar. i spose i'm rooting for dortmund in the CL at this point. the CL is out of reach, but hopefully we qualify for the EL for next season. top 6 should do it right? unless lazio win the CI and really stumble in the league.
