vs Deportivo we sucked. vs Liverpool a nice dive and a Dida choke job did us in, but you know, a 3 time CL winner is known for those two games and not that he has 3 CL titles...fkn choker.

Just for the record were you thinking this while it was 5-1 aggregate, 5-2, 6-2, 7-2, 8-2, 9-2, or at 10-2?

Yes, considering the scoreline never looked like a possible comeback was on the cards just makes it seem like the usual. He's just opening his mouth without thinking.

As usual you make no sense. What had that got to do with this game? Look at the scoreline and admit to talking without thinking, again trying to be funny only works if it makes sense.

It showed that Arsenal had the potential to make a game of it....

I would say well played if you were trolling but you're serious. If the score was 2-0,3-0 arsenal and you posted that then you would have a point. Scoring one goal in a game as unpredictable as football doesn't mean a choke job is on the way. :speechless: therefore you comment makes no sense.

Well when I was watching the game after the goal Arsenal looked good and with Carlo having a history in the cl of bottling games that he had in the bag I thought maybe they would pull off what they did to Milan a few years back.. Also playing at home they would not want to embarrass themselves. Anyways that was not the case and the germans laid them out.

Yeah, definitely at 5-2, even more at 6-2, and I was totally thinking that Bayern was bound to collapse any minute at 9-2 aggregate. They held on by a string.

Credit to him, he knew his team was done for before the game vs Madrid. More credit to Chooch for being consistent as a perennial doom and gloomer.

Yeah, remember when you said this a few years back...

As if what happens a few years back is relevant to today.
But anyway, how did that work out back then?

would you rather your team get stomped 10-2 on aggregate, blow a 4-0 lead, or not be in the competition at all?

Not be in the competition at all. When we are back in Champs league, we'll make some noise

options 1 and 2 are better than option 3. playing in a KO round would be fun even if we were underdogs.
like napoli for example, they had 0 chance of defeating madrid but gave their fans some hope.

Ya but Napoli never lost 10-2 or blew a 4-0 lead. That was the question bub

i think i'd take a successful group stage, a 10-2 ass-kicking, and the pile of cash that comes along with all of that over not playing. i definitely wouldn't want to blow a 4-0 lead.

i really miss having something to care about during these mid-week matches. i'm down to just copenhagen left on my list of teams i root for. no milan, no celtic, no shakhtar. i spose i'm rooting for dortmund in the CL at this point.

the CL is out of reach, but hopefully we qualify for the EL for next season. top 6 should do it right? unless lazio win the CI and really stumble in the league.
