Schmelzer is out a month. Rode is a few weeks away. Schurrle likely next month. I can't say I care about any of these players returning as anything other than bench players. Frankly, the club should get them healthy and sell them off in the winter.

Do you not think there is any chance that one of them might find better form under a new coach/new system? And you don't think any of them is better then anyone who saw the field in the last week even when the other player is on short rest?

I am not claiming to have the ability to separate a player's failing into "not used correctly", "not in their personal best form", and "lacking the talent", so I can only hope that the problems are the first or second type. But I do that BVB is better with players healthy whether it chooses to sell them or keep them.

I've watched these players long enough to know they won't get better. Also they are overpaid and over-valued. We are better off without them. I'm not always right about players but the only BVB player who has shined despite me wanting him gone is Miki. There was also Rosicky but I changed my mind about him.

Without questioning your perception, I hope one of them finds a way into Mikhy's bucket and finds a way to shine.

Mario Götze, Andre Schürrle and Marc Bartra are all in full training today.

Piszczek potentially out for long-term, as he has a suspected cruciate legiment tear

Our FB situation is awful. But on the bright side we will have Toljan and Gurreiro likely back sooner than LP and MS.

Philipp and Sancho are close to a comeback. They are possibly even options for the next game.

Hard for him to be in the first choice when he's injured all the time. As the article points out, he had 3 muscle issues in 2018 already. Or as another article pointed out, he had more injuries than starts in the first team this season.
I'd hate to see his talent go to waste and I hope we don't sell him this summer.

I hope we get a coach who can motivate players to improve not just on the pitch but the off-pitch prep work they need to do. Oh wait we already had a coach like that.....

It's feared that Batshuayi is out for the season. But he doesn't seem to be in danger of missing out on the World Cup so maybe there is some hope. Without a top striker, this makes the fight for CL qualification even harder. Isak should at least get some playing time if the club still believes in him. If it's not him, it would have to be one of the wingers on the striker position, probably Reus, Yarmo or Schürrle.
I'd also like to see an offensive creative player behind the striker again instead of the 3 winger formation we saw in the last games.

I hope Stöger does not go with Reus and Götze up top. Let them play in the 11 and 10 positions and give Isak time to shine.

Don't care about him missing NT matches. This means he won't be over-straining himself. Hope he sits out the next one as well.

Not sure if the injury is "real". This could very well be about giving him some recovery time.
