    Hey...

Someone in here told me to look up Heath Pearce. I actually met him yesterday in Copenhagen and had a talk with him. Nice to talk to a fellow American and he's a cool guy. He gave me some advice concerning the US team, so that was good.

that's awesome man! I'm sure Heath will be a great resource and friend (not that I know anything about him).

Grats on FCK's current season. Looks like you're tops in the league and still alive in the Champion's League, not to mention league cup, etc.

How's the season going for you? I know I look up all the weekend game recaps and team news looking for your name. Keep us updated. We love to hear from our yanks first-hand.

Good luck in the future. I hope you get your breakthrough soon.

So far my season's been allright. Haven't seen any playing time though and only been called for bench duty once, so I'm getting my match practice on the second team in the second division along with 5 other young players from the team. I've been playing both in the center defense and as right back. The right back position is where I'm most comfortable, where I have the freedom to go forward on the flank, that being a significant part of my game as a former winger some years back. I've also scored 2 goals and made a couple of assists as well.
It's tough going without any playing time, but I'm up against Danish NT starters Lars Jacobsen and Michael Gravgaard, so it's pretty much as I expected. But I feel I'm showing the coach that I'm ready everyday at practice. Just looking for that one shot!

    Jamil,

Just out of curiosity, when does your contact expire with Copenhagen?

    Jamil,

Have you spoken to the Yanks at Viborg? Joe Zewe and Robbie Russell?

Good luck the rest of the season.

    Ahh. Good info -- thanks.

Jamil, keep up that attitude: whether it's soccer or whatever else you do when that career ends, it's the only way to live life. Fortune favors the prepared!

Yo...you gotta put a couple lines in between that weak stomachs warning and the photos. I just woke up and clicked on this thread and saw that ankle looking like not an ankle. Not the best way to wake up at all...

If only everyone else paid this much attention to what I say the world would be a much better place.

    Just kidding.

    But, good luck Jamil.

Thats great man, playing in England will definetly raise your chances to play for the US. Go to the Coca-Cola Championship...if you can't get a contract their I seriously suggest going to the MLS. If you want to get recognized that is the way.

P.S.- there are inbetween 1-2 dozen americans who play in England, I suggest going to one of their clubs. Maybe that will help you get exposed even more. If you want to know those clubs just check ussoccer.com under the player pools
