Game is in a weather delay, but if it's called Indy NPSL will win with a 1-0 lead in the second half.
Indy NPSL wins 1-0 behind a goal by Vincent Mitchell, they take on FC Cincinnati in the next round of the US Open Cup.
I think all are college players or recent college graduates. I believe Mitchell the goal scorer just graduated Butler this past year and was taken in the 4th round of the MLS super draft so not all are college players to my knowledge.
if i'm remembering right, mitchell torched iu the entire second half of the match at the butler bowl last fall. speedy dude.

There are tentatively around 39 players on the NPSL team and 33 of them have college eligibility. That doesn't mean they necessarily play for a university, but are capable at any point. Only 5 players are untied to professional clubs. Ultimately NPSL teams have to be fully paid professionals or unpaid amateurs and Indy XI NPSL are unpaid amateurs.

Looks like the NPSL side showed well against Cincy, but did eventually succumb to the professional team.
my cinci buddy who was there made it sound like cinci totally outclassed indy. said the score was not at all indicative of how one-sided the game actually was.
Well I neither watched nor listened. I would expect a professional team to outclass a non-professional team.
Keep an eye on Vincent Mitchell as a prospect. I just read he has scored 4 goals in all competitions so far in the early goings for Indy NPSL.
Indy Eleven NPSL won this weekend 2-1 against AFC Cleveland. Vincent Mitchell and Jose Rodriguez with the goals. He has scored 4 goals in 4 games so far this season in the NPSL.
