Wasn't there a story floating around that when Stan Kroenke met someone, he was wearing a shirt, tie and pants that cost $50 total while his opposite was wearing a $5000 suit?

Would seem a bit stupid, unless we're 100% sure Tierney is coming back SOON from his injury/operation, AND coming back to 100% if his previous level.

And as much pace as Nacho has lost in the last year or two, In the dying moments of today's match, against Salah, he still showed Luiz how to use positioning to avoid being skinned by Mo. Something David failed to do on one of their goals.

To reemphasize this point, if both Monreal and Mustafi leave this week, until Holding is ready for first team minutes, Arsenal would be left with 5 healthy defenders, one injury or suspension away from deep sh*t. Maybe the cavalry will arrive sooner than expected, but it seems like a big gamble

International break is coming up so that’s two weeks.

Holding may be in contention against Watford if he performs well in the league cup match.

Monreal is washed and if we can get something for him, take it.

I was expecting Monreal to be moved on earlier in the summer, but this would leave them awfully thin at the back, especially at fullback. If they expect Bellerin in Tierney back in full training after the break, then maybe it's a risk worth taking, but if they aren't ready, without Monreal, Arsenal are left with AMN and kolasinac as the starting fullbacks and Chambers as the only backup. In addition until Holding is ready, Chambers would be the only healthy backup in the center of the defense.

Hearing that Sociedad are trying to swap a player for Nacho in lieu of a transfer fee. Not seeing any details but if true I assume it would be a U21 and/or a player that would be loaned back for the season.

Hearing the Nacho deal may be a "down payment" for a player we are interested in buying in Jan/July. I assume this means it would be a 1st team option. Looking at their roster I could see us being interested in Oyarzabal or Mikel Merino.

Seeing reports that Mustafi's dad has asked Arsenal to reduce their asking fee of 25M.

If reports of Yanited asking 20M for Sanchez are true, then he may have a point o_O

He may have a point, but not because of Sanchez. Sanchez makes about £400k/week more than Mustafi does.

If we REALLY wanted to move Mustafi we would have dropped it to 15-18 + bonuses

When Sept 1st rolls around, does anyone think Raul will be turning down 12.5M for Mustafi?

After Iwobi's egregious sale, I think Raul would take .5M for Mustafi.

+1 for the British junk food references. It's been too long for me mate, but even in my day there's no way I'd have eaten skips.

Just saw a clip of Emery's presser today. He gave two very direct answers about players who might leave by 9/2: Monreal may go, but Ozil will not.

That's one thing I like about Emery, he doesn't typically play games with the questions like that.

Besiktas sporting director claims to have reached an agreement with Arsenal for a loan of El Neny. He is supposed to be heading to Istanbul for a medical tomorrow. No info on a possible buy option.
