What a great tribute! Just the other day, I was telling my son about "the Pizza Man". Stan was a great player to watch! I only saw him play for a couple of season, but his control of the ball was unbelievable. I can't believe that it already has been 30 years. Rest In Peace Stan.
Stan was a great player. Modern indoor soccer could use another Stan Stamenkovic, but it is highly unlikely another with his type of talent will grace the rec centers of today's arena soccer pitch. I was shocked when I heard he passed away 20 years ago--way too young.
Thank you . Its been 20 years I tried to change the tile heading but I forgot how to do it . He was my favorite player I am still doing research on him for videos and my next project will be a highlight reel , but that is going to take a long time to do.
Best indoor player I have ever seen. Ran into him at the old Kragujevac Serbian restaurant night club on Lincoln Avenue in Chicago in the mid 80s the night before a noon game against the Sting at the old Chicago Stadium. Actually, sat at the same table, along with His teammate Mike Stankovic. I left at 3:00 am. Stan was still there and to say he had consumed significant amounts of food and beer to that point would be an understatement. He then proceeded to almost single handedly demolish the Sting a few hours later. May he rest in peace and may his memory be eternal. An absolute legend!
I know you can edit the title but I cant remember how you do it , I still cant believe its been 20 years already
