Good for all parties involved. Gets his salary off the books and hopefully allows him to rebuild some value for a permanent transfer in the summer. Is never getting out of Pardew's dog house.

Must say the Newcastle has been good about getting their business out of the way early in the summer. Cabella, Colback, Janmaat, de Jong, Perez, and Riviere is hardly light business. Obviously would be ideal to have a CB in there with the age of Collocini / Williamson and MYM out on loan but que sera. Taylor and Good are reasonable to make up the numbers so what's really needed is quality there....

He's out of contract come summer, so we've seen the last of HBA.

    Thx,

    Jay!

For a selling club, we did a terrible job of unloading him. I wonder why it's a "loan" at all, except that now he won't be allowed back in SJP without a ticket.

Huge article about third-party ownership here:

    http://futbolgrad.com/double-agents-shakhtar-donetsk-role-third-party-ownership/

Newcastle might be deeply involved in this, as they have loaned out Ferreyra from Shakhtar Donetsk, and now it appears that he might be one of the player involved in a third-party ownership deal at Shakhtar. After all he was one of the players that went on strike in the beginning of the season at Shakhtar. This could be West Ham all over again!

Ferreyra was the only one of the other players who went on strike not owned by Kia Joorabchian I read somewhere. By all accounts he was 2nd/3rd choice behind Luiz Adriano and Taison and didn't like living there.

We don't have the squad to play Pulis' style. Bradley's reminds me of Pardew, with less round peg/square hole treatment.

    Thx,

It seems Steve Bruce and/or Colo are the favourites at the moment.

Not sure how I feel about either to be honest, defenders as managers seldom play good attacking football - which would be a nice change seeing as we've essentially given up on actually trying to win something. See Hughton, Allardyce, Roeder in recent memory.

Where on earth did that come from after his recent instability?

Probably somewhere deep in the pockets of Ashley. You know, where all the pennies are.

Who knows, and I don't believe he has the necessary badges. Also, Lee Clark would be an absolute shambles, renowned for not being the brightest bulb in the box and has only had minimal success in League One when managing a well heeled club, he would not be backed by the owner in the transfer market, as we all know, ergo he would be completely out of his depth.

Santon is gone. Reports are he is being "loaned" to Inter Milan with a similar contract clause as the one that saw MYM move to Roma. Inter make the move because he can play right away in both Serie A and Europa and would count as a Homegrown player for them in Europe.

You know there are days CAshley is starting to make me regret being a fan. I mean I can't stop cheering for the club but he makes it so damn hard to care and get excited about the club.

Not like we need another healthy defender or anything.

May your move go as well as your predecessor who went to Liverpool and fell off the face of the earth.

    Thx,

    Jay!

Soooo now reports are surfacing that Bigi, Vuckic, and Mbabu have all been loaned to Rangers. So are we just going to become a feeder club for a 2nd division Scottish team now? I know only Mbabu has even a slight chance at a future with this club but still. CAshley trying to make sure his money pit doesn't collapse I guess.

Add Remie Streete and Shane Ferguson to the list of players under contract for Newcastle joining Rangers on loan. Streete, Bigi, & Vuckic are already there and Fergie & Mbabu will join the squad before the end of the month when their injuries are healed.

I've read/heard that Rangers will have the chance to sign all 5 to permanent contracts if they want as well. Like I joked about in the last post and not so much now: We just became the feeder club for a 2nd division Scottish club.
