A mess. If they don't finish 6th something has probably gone very, very wrong for Jose & United. Or perhaps Chelsea...
Good weekend. Of the top 5, 4 were at home with only us away, none playing against other top 5 teams. On paper very little to be gained, but we put 2 points into both Chelsea (0 0 vs Everton) and Arsenal (lucky to even get that point vs Wolves).
Where will Mourinho land next? https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...7/Jose-Mourinho-sacked-Manchester-United.html
i saw it mentioned somewhere that Moyes still has 5 months left on his United contract there's your caretaker United!
Not good news for us, the Poch to United rumours will only intensify and could be a big distraction for us like the Redknapp to England rumours derailed our season in 2011-12...
I think Spurs should be thankful they didn't have to face Vardy when they played Leicester. Leicester has been very good of late
We need Liverpool to start dropping some points (I know, Captain Obvious). Reminding me a bit of Leicester in their year, opponents seeming to give up and an air of inevitability growing. They've had some luck, dives and deflections, but fortune alone doesn't get you 6 points clear at halfway.
I'm a fan of the idea that "you make your luck." That is the idea behind my "I believe." If Liverpool have that self-belief, they will get the "lucky" bounce or favored deflection. Think of Eriksen yesterday. That was a lucky deflection, yes?
also you gotta take the shots to have those lucky deflections. I really hate when the team tries to work for the perfect chance all game. when the opposing defense is packed in, you gotta take any half chances you see and go for it. never know when it might rebound off the keeper, deflect off a defenseman, or someone on opposing team does something dumb like handball in the box (like vertonghen did a few weeks ago)
Tomorrow an event shall occur less common than the arrival of Halley's Comet. Tomorrow I shall be pulling for Arsenal FC to obtain a result - to win, even. I presume they will let me down … though the upside in that is easy enough to see. And should they win, I suspect I will feel dirty and more than a tad of remorse. Still, up the arse!, or whatever they say.
I'm hoping for a draw, myself. Or the earth opening up and swallowing both teams - that would work for me, too.
