Kola is definitely aggressive but I wouldnt call him dirty. I didn't think he was dirty against Pulisic, I thought he closed him down

    We'll agree to disagree.

That was a two footed studs up challenge on the sideline a full half second after Pulisic released the ball and that just set the tone. Then there was the shoulder dislocation UFC move where he dragged him a full yard cranking his shoulder against his body weight after he was already on the ground. those were the two most egregious, there were additional example 3 or 4 that I can think of in that game.

He also was giving high fives to teammates when Pulisic was withering in pain from that shit sideline tackle. What would the rationale be worth congratulating unless it was "you crunched that uppity little shit"?

Honest question, what is your basis for concluding that this wasn't dirty?

Watching Kolašinac, he's always been an aggressive player. His pure size is bigger then every winger in the league. He's not afraid to go to ground and tackle but he is pretty good at getting the tackle. I've never seen him play malicious. Aggressive yes but never to go out and hurt players

Maybe over a career he's not a dirty player but my conclusion from watching that game is that that criticism is completely warranted.

Very solid performance today by Chandler. He seems to like and understand his role very well. Almost had an assist, but was just offside after a good run in behind. His positioning and sense of when to get forward and when to cover is very good. Not tested a lot today, as Darmstadt would be overrun by Chicago Fire.

probably random question but what kinda club is Frankfurt? solid mid-table team or relegation fodder? would qualifying for the EL be high expectations for them?

They are mid table team for the most part with some and higher and lower finishes sprinkled in. Last season they were third to last and played in the relegation playoff game. Kovac has done an amazing job with the team. They are definitely playing beyond their expectations.

Kovac seems to be both a player's coach and a serious intellectual tactician. Unleashing Timmy as a rampaging wingback and deploying Hasebe in the libero/sweeper role have been two creative tactics crafted to his players' characteristics.

Assist in the Cup: "A very pretty chipped ball from Chandler, headed in by Tawatha."

Some disagreement on Chandler's fault on Chicharito's goal.

But here it is. He seems to be very slow to react to a wide open Chicharito at the end.

He did have an excellent cross today, which landed on his teammates foot and should have ended up in the back of the net.

Chandler fell asleep and failed to follow a run off the back shoulder that the commentators seemed to think was his responsibility. As often as this particular failure repeats itself it is wholly irresponsible to play Chandler as a RB for the usmnt. Never again please.

I don't agree. He usually plays well for his club. Besides, where else are we going to find a Love Child of Frankenstein and J-Lo.
